« on: December 12, 2004, 01:39:37 am »
Has anyone any funny lyrics you have thought are right, but in real life, are awfully wrong.
example: i caught my friend singing Fighters from ninne: "Comin' at ya Woo-style" as "Having action moustache"
Oh my dear fucking god that was funny.

how about you? ;D
Rofl i had stupid mistake at my sig for weeks, i hope you didnt notice it ;P

there was a thread about how many ways the "support your local terrorists" at the begining of sidstyler was misinterpereted, i tink fallout started it by saying like "support your yellow terrorists or somehting", it eneded up getting completely out of hand, liek most of our threads ;D

For the longest time, I heard "The storm has grown out of control" as "The storm is on remote control".
"It's like growing up reading good books or listening to good music. One good sofa breeds another good sofa; one bad sofa breeds another bad sofa. That's how it goes."

"
[...]

Han levde med Sweki
de leka poliser
en geting,
en bondtjej,
en man tjej ska bliiii
I rasta-mors mage
finns salt a' la cheesecake
En bror med sin granne
ska hjäääälpa en bil.

Staaaackars neeegerslav!
Hans kön ska vårta ge
Vårtsvin ska vråla,
när jag slipat klaaaart!

Halvfiiina hääägringar
Siv sa: Fan, ångrar jag!
Hasch fanns i spruta
Polis... sprang i mååååååål!"

For those who aren't Nordic, what this is is a "phonetic translation" of the old Soviet Union anthem into Swedish.

Not only is it an outlandish process, translating based not on meaning but sound; the lyrics produced is hilarious too.
What do you mean the new album isn't called Brojectiot groader?!

I used to hear
"fire in the engines" instead of "Fiery the vengeance"
in The cage by sonata arctica...

SONATA ARCTICA *beer*  ;D

"Don't Say A Word" and "White Pearl, Black Oceans" from the new album are hard to understand. Especially the first one with all those narrative parts containing some latin. I heard "I'll let go of the record" instead of "Vade retro, alter ego"... And I still don't know if the lighthouse guy kills himself in the end.  :P

first time I heard Don't Say A Word I thought it said:

Mother always said my son
Do the noble thing
you have the fish in tart
no matter what  (what the fuck?!)
now say a word
it's not how long you live
but what you morals say
can't keep your deal
don't say a word
don't say a word

got it partially right tho ^_^ yay
