Title: Machinae Banana!
Post by: chompy on August 05, 2005, 02:58:02 am
Hi, waves with one smooth movement.

Instead of doing a Hotseat it is time for Machinae Banana, read below
Code: [Select]
The person who gets the Machinae Banana has to:

Eat a banana?

Take pictures of him/herself playing, or doing something, with a banana?

Make a banana pudding?

Come up with new and ingenious ways of using a banana? (doesn't neccecarily have to try out these things, though, and they don't really have to work)

Note you do or do not have to do any of these thing. You could just post what you would do with it and how rather then showing us. Think of some ingenious was of doing stuff with bananas!

Oh yea, feel free to revive the hotseats later if anyone likes.

I'll do something with a banana.  I've always wanted to throw one in the oven and see what happens.  So I'll do that and take before/after pictures.

Oh, 'twas a long time since I last had baked bananas.
Cut open the inner curve of the banana, put chocolate in there, put it in oven until the chocolate melts.
It's yummy.

Title: Re: Machinae Banana!
Post by: Torp v2.0 on August 10, 2005, 11:32:47 am
Actually, it's a non-paying position. It does come with side benefits, though. And it's surprisingly little work, as I can delegate any work I don't want to do to one of my billions upon billions of lackeys and underlings.

And they have to pay the costs for the work.

So yeah. I am a lazy fucking fuck fuck.

Right now, the job of keeping me with money has been delegated to a golf course where I live, and "Lånekassen", a state organ claiming to be there to help students.

I've got to pay back much of the money Lånekassen gives me, though. Think I'll have to talk to the Master of Sol about that, really.

Recently a guy played the game for 49 hours and suffered a heart attack and died. Kind of a crappy death, methinks.

Speaking of Space Marines, there's a Starship Troopers game coming out sometime this year. :D

Excellent game. Only RPG I ever played excessively. I finished the main storyline plus both addons. Can't wait for Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

Man, I hate Starcraft. :P

Recently a guy played the game for 49 hours and suffered a heart attack and died. Kind of a crappy death, methinks.

Speaking of Space Marines, there's a Starship Troopers game coming out sometime this year. :D

haha yeah, that Andy Chambers designed apperently. I think its gonna be kinda lame with only two armies

hah if you can find a werewolf without doing the quest you are both
A) a god and
B) royally fucked cuz the only werewolves that are in the game are level 50 when you find them

Lol, I used perma-feather too much in my last game and it got all buggy, so I had to start anew. *Thank you soul-trap bug, I can start off almost where I left off*

Oblivion is already nagging at me. I keep trying to create new chars in Morrowind, but I can't, 'cuz the whole game's about imperials and dark elves, and the imperials' heads are just too damn big, and I'm too damn vain. I need more creation options!

The programmers for the new game put in algorithm's for tree growth and soil erosion... SOIL EROSION. *drool*

Only thing I'm worried about is not having a character creation guide to help me in the new one. I don't wanna spend two hours on a charcter only to find out I forgot some vital skill and screwed myself over.

I NEED OBLIVION GOD DAMNIT.

Is the Starship Troopers game gonna be strategy? The screen I saw was of a FPS.

The troopers in starship troopers were marines. And some were in space. *not in the first movie, but the second, crappier one*

Well, you do have Morrowind...isn't that reason enough?

Yeah... but the scary/pathetic part is that when my optical mouse broke and i could no longer easily play the game... I seriously had no idea what to do.

Easy solution: Do not buy the 360.

Anything bit Xbox for teh win.

I even pulled out the "for teh win..." you KNOW i'm serious. Xboxes are like DuGAE-is-going-to-find-and-kill-you magnets.

No, don't ask why. Just at least wait for the PS3. Trust me.
And buy Oblivion for PC. I would never suggest you deprive yourself of that. You may need to buy a couple new computers though.

Even Microsoft is better than Sony and EA.

Though just barely. This reminds of a thread we have going at the  Gamers Alliance (http://www.gamersalliance.org) forum.  It's a nice site, you guys should probably check it out. Their main goal is to stop games from being banned outright and there's quite a bit of intelligent discussion going around.

Well, as I see it, playstation has Colin McRae... Other than that I don't know if there's anything worth my attention...

Xbox, well, you can throw anything at that machine. But it's MS, so I'm ambigous.

Gamecube is, well, from the classic company. Can't go wrong there if you want childrens games.

And what the hell happened to SEGA???

Sega flopped with the Saturn and the Dreamcast so they've decided to completey stop making consoles, and instead focus on making multi-platform games. Seeing how Nintendo are struggling against Sony and MS, I'd absolutely love to see them and Sega joining forces. Never gonna happen... but a boy can dream...

What about the Shadow game that's gonna come out? He's gonna have guns cos he's such a badass black hedgehog!

The only use for Playstations in my eyes are for random Japanese RPGs and party games that would never be released on other formats because they're a sale liability.

I'm afraid the Xbox rocks though and I think the 360 will do more so.

I'm already allocating budget for the 360 so I can buy it on the release day, but keep my old Xbox as long as XBMC isn't ported to the 360.

Lol, if you haven't heard already, my computer is a piece of shit. Depending on when I get the money, I'm either going to splurge for a new 'puter or a 360. I'm just not going to buy a PS3, I've never been one for turn-based RPGs and the like, and I'm not a big fan of Sony, either. The lineup for the 360 looks awesome, and Sony hasn't shown much more than brief cinematics.

As for the Revolution, I just don't know enough to be interested. I loved my gamecube for a good long time, but after a couple of years there just wasn't a whole lot of quality stuff coming out for it. There's probably one more game that I'll buy for my Cube before I get rid of it, and that'll be Zelda.

The reason why I'd prefer to play Oblivion on the 360 is because then I don't have to worry about graphics cards, processor speed, whatever. I can just buy it, drop the CD in, and play, no installation required, no family members bugging me to get off, no problems in general.

I only ever really use my PC for RTS games, anyways. I was pissed beyond belief that I couldn't play Dawn of War, let alone anything else coming out this year...

Dawn of War campaign missions are all remarkably similar.

Train 10 or so marine sqauds, give them different heavy weapons. Attack.

No. I got to the level after the one where the Steam Tank leaves and couldn't be bothered anymore. May have something to do with replaying the level where the orcs have a stone thrower and a few bolt throwers and start with a height advantage because of casualties (ie. Mortar)
