Title: (Machinae's) Jobs
Post by: Xeero on July 25, 2005, 12:20:34 am
Out of curiousity, what do you all do, where do you work at?  For all forum members for that matter, what is it you do?

I got a job at McDonalds, and while people may say it's ass work...  I quite enjoy it, it's easy (especially since I work nights when it's virtually dead) and the people are extremely nice.

I'm currently unemployed, though I'm in full time education (uni) so I'm not a total bum. Currently job hunting.

Replace McDonalds with Burger King and I have the same opinion.

I'm a table gimp. More commonly known as a server (even more commonly known as a "waiter")

I put up with people's impatient B.S. nearly 24/7.

While I would rather NOT have to deal with demanding asshats &  cheapskates, getting money everyday is sort of nice.

Sort of...when money is plentiful, as opposed to when it's not. o_o

**shrugs**

IT consultant, 12 hour shifts. Got lots of time to do own thing, IE this.

For the reason I havent really been here for the last few weeks is that I cannot justify the time being spent here Vs real life.

uni… I did two internships (I have no idea what they’re called in British English) in management consulting, quite fun. I’ll write my diploma thesis this year but also have to do another compulsory internship. Looking for a job which isn’t as stressful as consulting though.

Me? I'm a slacker, and I've got just the work for me. I work at a golf club, making sure the people who are about to play are allowed to play, and handling booking as well. I probably work for less than 1/4 of the time I'm actually paid for. The rest is spent on the net, or playing games on my laptop. Lovely.

Of course, it's just for the summer. In a month, it's back to uni, where I study physics and mathematics. I'll probably not work up there, apart from the obligatory work I have to do at the Students Society (it's obligatory because I've joined one of the groups there. But the payoff (which comes to $0 and lots of social bonuses) is ultimately worth it.

That's two days work.
Today I worked rather slow.

I can only hope that it works on your station, it's a debug binary due to silly circumstances. Windows only.

Quote from: wikipedia
Since 1929, Opel has been part of General Motors. Many cars sold by General Motors worldwide are Opel designs, including such models as the Corsa, Astra, Vectra and Omega. Opel models are also sold under other GM brand names, such as Vauxhall in the UK, Holden in Australasia, and Chevrolet in Latin America. Its Zafira people carrier is sold in Japan badged as a Subaru, while the Omega was briefly sold in the US as the Cadillac Catera. The first cars produced by Daewoo in South Korea were based on the Opel Kadett (now Astra) and larger Rekord (now Omega). Opels appeared under their own name in the US in the late Sixties, when they were sold through Buick dealers as captive imports.

Problem solved
