Yeah. I really liked the first of those two pics. He's an über-fluffy, cute little monster. My aunt thought him quite able to rank good in a competition thingy, if it hadn't been for his eye (he's blinded on one eye due to a fight with a magpie. Stuck its beak right into it. Ended up in a better condition than the magpie, though :) ). If you look closely, you see that the right eye on the first pic reflects the background rather than looking like the other one, and there are some black spots on the yellow part of it.

I have four cats and this (http://ankle.sinistrals.net/misc/pictures/2005.05.11-firefox_tng.jpg). I prefer the second since it doesn't go into heat or require me to clean the litter box.

Look, they knitted a heart with that plant. Smart fish, ..., smart fish.

Actually i was the one who did that with the plant. I tried to mate them. Hehe  ;D

After they mated, they had like about 100 eggs or so, most of them hatched. And then i didnt know that the baby fish couldnt eat the food for adult fish eventhough the food was crushed into small pieces. Most of them didnt even survived for a week. Five of them stay alive for a month, and then one by one just died slowly. I'm still not sure what the cause the death, probably the food.  :'(

Now I'm somewhat depressed. Let's hope Elton John doesn't jump out of the closet to sing "Circle Of Life"... again.

Smart daYak...

Anyway, Fighting Fish, especially males, are agressive and have a tendency to kill each other, which is the reason they've got that name. The unexlained deaths might very well be filicides or fratricides (fancy names for parents killing their offspring and brothers killing each other respectively).

i know for sure the parents didnt kill the offsprings cause i separated them after the eggs hatched.

and i dont know about killing their own siblings cause most of their ages were only less than a week. is it possible that they already had killer instinc that early?

Maybe they had listened to Killer Instinct
