Title: Anyword on New Album?
Post by: Palicgofueniczekt on February 02, 2005, 10:25:17 pm
I am just looking for a ballpark release time table, and when preorders should start too.  Also, I do not recall the shipping parameters from DXM, but I might need mine shipped to me in Japan and I am wondering shipping costs.

Damn study abroad inconveniencing me...

TBA or TBC - doesn't matter. TBA means To Be Announced; TBC means To Be Confirmed. TBA is often used when there is no information; TBC is often used when there is information but it isn't final.

TB is tuberculosis. I still remember those jabs. I was such prat, I faked fainting in the middle of the school hall (wasting nurses' time)

NEW CD?

are we talking about the Re-issue of DXM?

Well, we are down to our last four copies of the 1st edition, and we WILL be out of stock for a month or more. The second edition will be on sale well, in a month or so.

Guess I should have specified.  When is the band/recording studio going to release the follow up to the smash hit of Deus Ex Machinae?

I think the answer is something along the lines of "Uhhh... I dunno."

So far, nothing even nearly concrete has been announced regarding the hypothetical new albums. The information as I remember consists of "It will exist; It is being written; It will be harder than DXM, which apparently came out softer than was originally intended; annnnndddd it'll be regarded as a turning point in the history of music as we know it, and shall be pointed to as the beginning of the Era of SIDmetal, during which anyone who was anyone attempted to emulate the genius that was the legendary Machinae Supremacy, though it will be further noted that no band was considered to have approached the levels of awesomocity attained by the members of machsup with the mere flick of a finger.

Or maybe i just made the last one up.

We've also been told that the tracks "Fury" and "Ghost" (There's a live recording of Fury somewhere, haven't heard Ghost though) will feature. And also I think "Soundtrack to the Rebellion" was originally for the album, but instead was released for free cause the band realised they hadn't given anything to the community recently.

i thought Legion was supposed to be on the album as well?

Umm... I don't think so, "don't vote for BUUUUUUUUUSH" won't really be too relevant by the time the album comes out.

they can edit it out if they choose...

Would you rather have Legion with that edited out, or a whole new song?  :P

I irced a bit with mr gaz and he said they were working on improving the songs for the second batch of DXM...

And the artwork for it is also sweet...

I think I will have to buy one.

It was tricky, because there were 9 underscores for a 2 letter word.

Hey, I still reserve the fact that nobby has provided his correct answer!

I am northern, but I south compared to a lot of people here.

no distinct accent? nice, accents can be damn annoying sometimes, they betray where one was born...and if you have no affection for the place.... >:(

Generally, the standard for album releases among good bands is every 2 years. That would mean we get Machinae's new album in 2006. More realistically, I'm sure we can expect a new release near the fall this year. Probably late July/August. I wouldn't get your hopes though. But I'm fine with listening to all the songs they have available already. Plus, with the 2nd print of DXM coming out, I will have an excuse to listen to that even more. Don't forget that they already busted out the Jets N Guns soundtrack. We can't be too impatient. ^_^
