Lomion: forum detective!

Interesting.. I found a handkerchief with traces of human blood in VisionThing's user profile.

However, this discovery seems only of slight interest if we consider the cat poo I found in Sobella's stuff.

Oh yeah, that should explain it. I'd say you're out of suspicion there.

But what about the woman clothes I discovered in your user mail case? I presume they aren't yours? ...

OMG Baulders Gate > Diablo. DIablo is not an RPG it is an adventure game it stats. It is a very shallow game hidden by its stats.

Setp 1: *click* *click**click**click* *click* *click* *click* Level Up!!!
Step 2: Goto step 1

Step 2: Get rid of annoying red symbols by selecting stats and skills.
Repeat.

There is one thing in this world I hate more than pedantic english students. That being said, that one thing which it is, is that I am one. "..." are used actually to indicate that something follows, or proceeds the text it is connected to, but is omitted.

Such as in the example:
"...and then the cows flew."

It is obvious that something had been omitted. They can also be used to indicate a dry, tired, or drawn out tone in speech.

Such as in the example:
"The day grows weary... my legs are sore... and my eyes droop with fatigue..."

Although nothing was omitted, the pause caused by the ellipses in reading (partly due to the anticipation of something, as well as the dissapointment of something being omitted) creates a sense of fatigue.

This was my lesson of the day. If you wish to learn more; you may contact me at (905) 330-7340. Or by email at sfidler@rogers.com

This segment has been brought to you by the fine people at WowIsThisEverGettingDrawnOut Industries. In affiliation with the WhenWillThisEnd Corperation of Public Broadcasting.

Good night, and take care.

Uh...I found this thread and I thought it suited well for my story. I'm not writing this to get sympathies, it's just....I don't know who else to turn to. You all seem like a friendly and nice bunch of people, so here goes...

I'd like to gíve a tender hug to Bearfoot 'because I know what he´s been going trough, I've had similar experiences. Life suckes hard sometimes doesn't it? :'( :'(

Anyway, I visited my doctor the other day and he said I'm going to get paralyzed in my legs because of this fucking disease that makes my muscles vanish slowly. I'm not old or have had other problems of this kind before, ok, it attacked my wrists first but I thought I got it under control...but naaahhh, it seems to have grown out of propotions even for the doctors to handle.

This means basically that I'll never ever again be able to use my inlines that I love so much, or not even to ride my bike :( And only to walk to the bathroom when I need, will be a huge effort. As if this isn't enough already :P My girlfriend that I've had for 7 years left me because of all this! You think you know a person well and then you found out you don't, it's horrible. But she said that she can't see a future where I'm in wheelchair while she likes to go to the pubs and dance in the evenings with her friends. I tried to tell her that it should not matter, but it was like talking to a wall. Maybe she did the right thing despite all...I'm just glad we didn't have any children. Then they would have had inherited my illness....and they now don't have to be forced to watch mummy and daddy separate.

Sorry about all this....but as I said, this topic was so right on the spot, so I used the opportunity to tell you my story. Please, if you like to talk to me about this, send me a pm instead, that would be sweet of you. :-[   Love you very much. Always. Hugs.

What disease is this? I have a neighbour that looses her muscles slowly, but she's old and it has progressed quite far.
Will it affect all of your body?
It's really sad you don't have a partner that loves you enough to stay with you through this life.
I hope you learn to deal with it and have a happy life despite this.

:D :D :D Thank You so much for your concern! It warmed my heart deeply.

I'm very old fashioned of me so I think it's the ultimate way to live my life when having a wife beside me whatever happens. And now I'll never now for sure how it would have been to have her by my side. She had a few affairs during our time together, but I thought that if I treat her like a godess she would never leave me!hopefully I can find a good looking nuse at hospital who want to nurse me and love me and care for me for the rest of our lifes' that would be awesome.

I found this picture on the inter net that describes my view of how I see the future.

Sorry to hear that Muhelos... Any disease that's permanent is hard to accept and to adapt to. But when one is very persistent and can keep up not to givin up to the disease one can win it. I mean ; disease will stay and affect life but one can still live good life.

But of course nowadays media tells us that only young, beautifull, thin and perfectly healthy people can have fun and good life. It's sad if one thinks that Life is over when one starts to have white hair. Or when even neighbours kids are frightened when they see one. Or when BMI goes over 27. Or when one sustains some kind of injury, disease or disability. Sure, some things that happen to us affect our lifes but we can decide if we will lose only something or everything.

yeah same here muhelos sorry to hear about it. i also have what could be called a disease, Dyspraxia. it's a LOT less severe then what you haver though....mine just fucks up my co-ordination and so on. i seriously hope you can find something  to help you try to cope with it and you seem like a nice guy so even if you become disabled it won't stop you leading a good life keep that in mind

Sorry Muhelos ignore the other post i made asking what it was that you were diagnosed with. I understand now. Man you are one brave fucker, nuff said. 'cuse the langu. I have so much respect for some of the people that come on these forums, and say what they say, and talk about their lives, and how they have so much more baggage than other people.

What you are dealing with, it's something i could never imagine being able to deal with.. you are mega-str0ng, and i have mega respect for that. Hey maybe you are old fashioned but by the sounds of it, i'd have a pint with ya.. you seem like a really cool guy, and when the RIGHT girl comes along, you'll be a happy kid =).. or man.. more likely man.

I was standing in the shower, doing my shower thing.. the other day, when it popped into my head (i play drums and piano, quite musically orientated)..

what would it be like to lose my hearing?

to go deaf, for me.. would be unbearable, it's like such a big part of my life to hear sounds and such, that i never take it for granted. I don't know if i COULD cope after losing my hearing, if i lost it.

Point im trying to make is, losing the power of your legs, i mean.. by the sounds of it, it will take away things you love to do, and there may be times.. you ain't sure what there is left to do, but the thing is.. closing one door (and i realised this in the shower, as grudgingly as i did so) opens another door, and there is always a door waiting to be opened. Never lose hope of what you can do; there are people out there with no physical disablities, and they could never be half the good guy that you are today, and in my opinion, will continue to be.

Their disability lies in understanding, respect, courtesy, love; the most powerful things to a human. Physical disabilities hold no power over moral disabilities. Something that stops a human from being a good human, a good person. You have those qualities, and i honestly believe you will never lose them. If anything they will get stronger, wiser, and you will rise above those with narrowminds; your girlfriend showed her true colours, and her disabilities.. there is people out there, there's a girl out there, who is just for you, and you WILL find each other.

It's just a matter of time. Once more, respect man.. you have mine.

:o You are so right, thanks for telling me. Yes...maybe she has a beard :D

And thank you sooo much for all your sweetness, there seem to be a lot of illness and diseases here..and you know what else? :-\ my doctor called me early this morning abd gave me my deathsentence...I also have cancer in my manhood, of all the fucking places. My God chooses to bring me home earlier than I ever could've thought :P What the hell....I'll buy him a cheap lager when I meet him.

Actually..despite all this depressed weirdness that's going on in my lousy life...I have another woman waiting for me and has done that for over a year now...I never cheated since I had my sacred vowl to my (ex) gf. But maybe I'll be giving her a chanse when things have turn less complicated, when it comes to relations. Maybe it turns out to be the best time in my life until I past away and that makes me somewhat happier to look at my future like that.

And as I've said earlier, you guys are truly wonderful and I love you dearly. Cheers! :)

:'( Why are you so mean? I have done you nothing? ???

Anyway...I had a chat with my female friend who is faithful to me, and she says she's still interested in me, wich is nice for me to hear. :D She promised she'll wait a bit more since I have to heal my wounds I got when my ex left me.

My former gf is on her way to Barcelona btw with a american guy who is nearly 7 years older than her!! That's sick in my opinion. way too much age difference between them. If it was the other way around it would be ok I think, since men are on a higher level than females. And they should be treated from that point of view. Completly natural.

What on earth are you talking about ??? Don't you mean that it's more ok when guys are older and not the opposite way around? I'm lost in your way of thinking there, since the society thinks it' s more ok when guy is older...more of a old fashioned/traditional way of looking at the age difference I mean. I thought you were one of those...

I understand what you mean my dear, but I mean exactly what I wrote.

Men are on a higher level,. When being older it's easy to belive that all the experiences in your life should be considered as a good and a mature thing and therefore provide better things to a relation. But imho, especially women, should be the older (weaker) one while we younger men should be considered as the stronger and more intelligent of the two in a couple to make the relation work without trouble. Do You Understand? An older guy in a relation with a younger female could be regarded as an ok thing despite he's older (weaker) but since he is a man, it speaks for itself I think, wow...got a lot of strength tonight to write it seems, maybe it's the painkillers that make me talk so much...well good night now, sleep tight. :)

7 year age diff isn't much, but when it goes over 10 years I'm getting sceptic.
My youngest older sister, !, has a boyfriend that is a fair bit older than her. But he's so childish they match pretty well... He's even a good friend on my level, and I'm 5 years younger than my sister...

And on the subject of permanent troubles, I have tinnitus (everlasting sound in thy ears).
Also I crack most joints in my body and never do any physical training, I bet I'm loosing muscles much faster than you. ;)

I think too highly of myself? I don't think one can think too highly of oneself.

My religious beliefs focus on that I must have 100% faith in myself. It also says that the one and only divine being in the religion is myself. So essentially, i'm the best and the world revolves around me... yay.

---
Of course not, don't take me wrong. I think very highly of myself too. It's just sad that you read me as if I was negative about it. It was not my intention to drag you down.

Depends in what situation and how you handle it perhaps? If one is determent in beliving in a selfmade idea that in the end becomes to be your reality then it's like living in a illusion, and then the world must really feel like hell when "visiting" it. Then you can talk about living in la-la-land for sure. It's not bad though 8)

But whereto Im heading with this is; if one think too damn highly of oneself, you are about to stumble and fall and get yourself hurt - and for no reason at all. And that's what I meant - that's how I look at it. Nothing negative.

And I will not reply on what you said about it as a "religion" I could read -fanatic- into it...

Now it became to be a hen out of a feather - again :P

I must be totally uncultured, but I just don't understand haiku.

In my view you can't express anything properly in 17 syllables.

With that one:
He's not dead
Even though he has travelled (somewhere)
Winter (which represents end of year and often death... which totally contradicts the way he just claim he is not dead)

Or is this supposed to be irony?
Title: Re:I'm not dead yet!
Post by: Poisoned on May 08, 2004, 09:19:29 pm
The idea of a haiku is you use other things to represent things. Like you put there, winter represents death. The limitation is that you can't explain why you use things to represent other things, so you hafta choose what you use to represent things carefully.
Title: Re:I'm not dead yet!
Post by: Laser.T on May 08, 2004, 09:23:33 pm
Exactly, there's a limitation. So 17 is not enough.

I do'nt like reverse meaning anyway. I can never understand people unless they spell it out to me. Or maybe 'im just to lazy to care.....

Hahahaha you're quite funny too. The thing is that I'm one of those who pretend to be mature so the girl I'm with always can look upon me with "dad-my-hero" in her eyes when she looks at me. I always protect her from the evil in this world at the same time I get her to do all things in my way as a tiny reward (you know what I mean  ;) heheehe). It's equal and very selfevident don't ya think? I think I'm very masculine and therefore very hot and a sought-after. It is for me very important to be as popular as possible among my true friends, otherwise I'd start to cry. Honestly. I always jump around and hug them to show how important I am.
Yeah, finally...ther's evil bitches too of course nearby where ever you go, but I don't care much about them, they really should need a real man to whip them up so they'd shut the fuck up! Ya know what I mean, ye!?  ;D
