Title: any tweakers out there?
Post by: zeroslug on March 12, 2004, 04:14:06 am
of course we all agree that these guys have an awesome sound, but i was wondering if there's any fellow c64 fans or any type of retro game music fans. I mean the keyboardist does a great job at making those quirky bleepy bloops c64 style and texture sounds in general. Heh would be great to know i'm the only keyboardist fan out here.  --slug ;D

Are there any retro-game and game-music ones here? Sure... There have been much talk about these things here. What becomes to your last question - yes, to some part. I like many kinds of music and I dig several instruments and their players. Playing "Grandpa Noah" may be easy but playing in such level as Machinae, it takes much skills from every artist of the group. And when several highly talented musicians end up together, making music it's sometimes something more than income of it's individuals.

I like syntheziser music and sound in general for it's space, thou.

I have all songs from www.tump.net and have begun discovering the wonders of lemon64.com and remix64.com :)

I could put up a fat list of game music, but...
I was humming Spy vs Spy alot while I was skiing in Trysil though.

Umm.. "tweaker" is slang for speed-addicts (http://www.tweaker.org/what/what.php4).

maybe passagen.se has started using some offsite link-blocker :\

try pasting http://hem.passagen.se/zman/fhein/tattoo_0325.jpg into a new browser window.

gravehill: thanks man! I decided the motive the day before I had booked a time. For half a year I had been planning to ink some kind of rave figure, but all of a sudden I realized how stupid it looked.
Haven't regret the current one for a second though ;)

I have always thought that cbm logo is one of the most beautiful logos of all time. Simple and even today it looks "futuristic". And all those warm feelings towards "the machine of all people"... Sigh. It's just art at it's peak.

And yeah, it really shows some personality unlike those tribal tattoos which every other people have nowadays. And before someone says anything 'bout it : I know they are "original". I just think that they are similar and thus can be categorized. And they do not have any message.

I would not like to take tattoo and I don't even like tattoos because most of them are "thirteen in dozen"-stuff. That one, it's art! It's original and I'm quite sure that there are not many with same tattoo. Cool. And it really does have plenty of messages and attitude!

IMHO, tribal tattoos are just mainstream silly marking that people will regret having done for the rest of their lives.
They don't even carry a meaning for gods sake!

No offense to those who has one, some people might have found a meaning in it and it might fit their personality.

Ah.. NOW I see it! wicked respect man! :)
Personally I wouldn't use colors if I ever made a 'tag' but thats just because it doesn't fit my style.
If Id make one it has to either esteticaly enhance my appearance or be something of an original thought and idea. Ive been thinking about "Kybernetes" for a while. Problem with tattos is that one isn't enough and can look a bit silly.. and then you never know when to stop (from what Ive seen in friends) ;D

Yeah, but fhein has said all that necessary with only one tattoo. And that's lot!
