Fictional: Major Motoko Kusunagi. Invisibility, awesome attitude and body, and she lives with two other women? Yes please...

Non-Fictional: I can't remember his name, but he was the original test pilot on the first Shuttle Flight and he got to land on the moon. Two things I'd loved to have done.


You are having a dinner party, wherin five people, historic or fictional, living or dead, will join you for the evening.  Three are of one gender, two of the other.  Which five people will you invite to this party?

1) Isombard Kingdom Brunell. The man's a genius, and I'd love to talk to him about what he'd do with our failing railway system, and what he'd make of the new 186MPH Channel Tunnel Rail Link in the south of England

2) Wernher von Brawn. He's the guy who practically invented rocket science and helped the Americans into space. He also invented the V2, but what the hey.

3) Mr Biffo. He'd feel quite small compared to the others, but he's one of the opinions I listen to the most in the games industry. I'd also like to talk to him about his recent trip to Chernobyl.

4) Nancy Nangeroni. She's one of the hosts of the most popular transgender talk radio shows in the world, and she does a lot of activism as well. I've always admired transgendered people who don't go into "deep stealth" once they've transitioned for a better cause, and I'd love to talk to her about some of the issues that Britain could do with fixing.

5) Violet Berlin. Easily the woman I respect the most in the world. She's been a part of the gaming media and a prominent opinion for the last decade, and anything she writes is a joy to read. If only there were more women like Violet Berlin in the industry, I don't think we'd be wondering so much about the whole women in games issue.

Do you mean a "chip buttie" (fries / chips in sandwich) or Crisp Sandwich (potato chips / crisps)? In that case, you can't go wrong with a crip sandwich. Chip butties sound nice, but I've never tried one.

Creepy. I'm pretty imune to crawly things (apart from Wasps), but crawly can be taken to nasty extremes :-(

To own one that dual-boots Windows so I can play Half-Life? That's even better.

Assuming I flush the toilet on average twice a day: 16060 in total. If it was just one toilet,  not counting other times I flush the toilet, for instance cleaning the toilet.

I'm told she's pretty hawt, although I'd much rather Angelina. I'd have her get out of the shower at least ten times a day, after watching Tomb Raider.

if you're so proud of your mac monitor, why dont you get a setup like mine, which now has *three* monitors, one of which is a widescreen Hi-def monitor, EH?!
Because I don't have the money to afford a second 19" TFT Screen to use for dual-screen desktops :P At the moment, I'm making do though. I just squash everything in and just use the Mac's superior application switching capabilities to work around desktop space. Expose is something every computer should have.
At the moment, all my extra money is going on replishing my wardrobe ;-)

Jesus, it's awful this year, isn't it? Do you have air conditioning at work? We don't, so the first thing that happens in the morning is my boss opens up all the windows to let all the country side in. COUNTRY SIDE FULL OF MURDEROUS POLLEN. I've never had it as bad as I have this year, and I've actually been buying the various hayfever drugs to supress it. The trouble is that they make me all drowsy, and I get even less work done every day... Beconase comes recommended though, as does own-brand drugs (because you get much more pills for your money)

Yeah, you really do need to get laid if you analyse books that closely. I'm sure 90% of the authors of books don't intend metaphor and allegory to be read into their work. Apart from Lord of the Flies, which is about as anal a book as you can get, and as such is ideal material for obsessed English teachers to teach.


I studied Lord of the Flies at 16, until our teacher left the school. The new teacher took off where she left off, and discovered that it didn't meet the examination board's criteria. It was wildly off. We'd wasted a whole termon this book, and we had to learn an extra text in the year of our GCSEs to catch up.
There are much, much worse books out there though.

They did this to my dad with his first P4 back in 2000. Dell obviously aren't taking you seriously, so either give them an earful or take your business elsewhere. You could try Mesh, and I went with Evesham in 2001, but I would rather the flexibility of building my own if I got a PC.

*edit* after some info-search on wikipedia and some calculations I have come to a great conclusion :) 83% of Japan (should be enuf for all the good parts) would fit in the Baltic Sea. I we just dug japan out of the sea and gradualy jigsaw the pieces togather in the baltic sea we would solve 4 problems at once.

1. The water in the baltic sea being so polluted is one of the major nature issues in Sweden. Since the baltic sea would no longer exist and its water would be pushed out in the north sea towards norway and england... Problem solved.

2. Japan would no longer be in danger of missle attacks from north korea or big tsunamis from the great coral reaf colapsing.

3. Japan would be closer to its biggest fanbase in Sweden and Finland.

4. You no longer have to travel by boat if you want to go from Sweden to Finland.

Losing the Stockholm archipelago would be a big downside but I guess its worth it if I get to live 1 hours trainride from Tokyo.

Neither. I used to use Camino, but I found Mozilla to be so slow on my Mac, so I went with Opera instead. I can't stand the way it switches tabs for every file transfer (something really annoying when downloading from image boards), but everything about is just more streamlined than any of the Mozilla browsers, and it looks much more attractive than Safari.

We can use a Fusion reactor to harness energy from matter! The first full-scale is due to be built in the south of France in our lifetime. If it's successful, it will generate electricity in a sustained nulcear fusion reaction, with no threat of meltdown, a negligable amount of toxic waste, and it'll run on a hydrogen isotope obtained from water. How cool is that?

Probably not, I've tried Souvlaki before with Greek yogurt, and it's not very nice :P I can't stand the clash of flavours. I'm really boring and I like Souvlaki with the lamb alone.
