Title: Speech synthesis?
Post by: lindarthebard on February 17, 2006, 10:52:03 am
I wanted to do a speech synth bit in one of my songs, but I can't find a text-to-speech generator. I wanted to put in my lyrics, and then break it up and sample it so it'd play on tempo with the music.

Help?

FruityLoops also has a pretty sweet Vocoder.  :)

If you work with FruityLoops you should take a little more time and use the Vocoder. The text-to-speech generator doesn't sound pretty good at all and sometimes you have to trick around with the letters so the words sound as you want them to sound.
For breaking up your lyrics you could use BeatSlicer - just a thought.
