I was 17. I really wish I had started playing earlier, but there's nothing I can do about that.

16, and I never got any real lessons, so I'm not nearly as good as a 5-year player should be. I mostly make my music with MIDI rather than guitar.

I try to make music, but it's never that good.  Though maybe that's b/c I've been playing for only a year....

I been playing guitar since you were in your daddy's sack, little man. Now go cut me a switch and then sit your ass down and listen to some Steve Miller Band! I don't wanna hear no sass from you!

I first picked up a guitar at the age of 13 or 14 and after trying really badly to play it... gave up.

Then I started playing bass when I was 14 and eventually found my way back to guitar at age 18 or so.

Started playing a classic guitar when i was 12. Bought my first acousting guitar when i was 13. Played a lot up until i was 15-16. Sold the guitar when i was 18, then bought an Ibanez electric guitar. 3 years ago i bought an ESP LTD guitar. Im 26 now. So ive played "on and off" for 14 years...i still suck though :P
I dont play steady or anything. Havent really played much last 6 months because of a new gf and all.... also my job(being an aircraft cleaner) makes my fingers really stiff... so its not all that great to play anymore :(

Starting up again somewhat now... just gotta learn some riffs from "Trinity" :D

Haven't really played guitar any more than a little in school and some bigger brother's acoustic Ibanez and Fender Stratocaster USA, tried to learn some easy riffs, but failed and became a basist...  :)
