Hi, I want to buy a new guitar but I don't know a lot about them so can anyone help me with this? Pricerange is about 550-800 euro for the guitar. I play mostly hardrock, my favourite bands are: Machinae Supremacy (DUH xD) ,Bullet For My Valentine, Breakin Benjamin, System Of A Down, Papa Roach, Anberlin, Three Days Grace, Billy Talent, The Killers. That kind of stuff...
A few days ago I found out that the soloist of MaSu plays with a Jackson KE2 Kelly, so I looked for some info and I found the KE3 Kelly which is a lot cheaper offcourse, but still decent. Is this true? Anyone plays with it?

Thanks I'll definately check out those guitars when I'm in the shop :)
Anyone got some info about the KE3 Kelly?
-
A friend of mine bought that one, played on it, its definately sweet, however takes some time getting used to, because of the bridge.

Rad, that first one is beautiful. Cant help but think it'd look better with white on black though, gold is such a cliche colour :P
And also, If I wanted a LP-style guitar, I'd have to get a Gibson. You cant beat the classics! I've wanted a Les Paul Gothic for ages now.
-
I personally think Gibson is pretty shitty compared to other guitars, but you can be a sheep and follow the crowd if you want..

It's not following the crowds, I just think if I want to buy a guitar, I shouldnt buy a remake of it, but rather the original model from the original creators. :)
-
Choose a guitar which have EMG mics.
Perhaps the best for metal heavy sound (yes, metal heavy sound, not heavy metal sound).
-
That ESP has EMG's in it, also i think the gold looks awesome :)

Gibson doesn't make a decent guitar for anything under $1000, and if you want a brag-worthy guitar, you'll have to break $2000. They cater to the guitar collection crowd, now.
Be like Rob, by a Fender Fat Strat and put an EMG in the humbucker position. Get an awesome clean sound, and then an awesome metal sound for when you feel like
-
-rocking out.
Note on the EMG's however, you can also change those for Seymour Duncans. I have these in my Maverick F1 and they sound great!
It has a really good clean tone, and for rockin, the sound is sweet aswell.

I think I accidentally deleted the end of my sentence. :(
And yes, Seymours are good, as well. I actually prefer those over EMGs, because they're not (usually) active pickups.

Aye, i mean when you're playing a gig and the battery dies out, you're pretty much screwed.

That, and they're not so harsh sounding. But, some people like that, I guess.
