Title: Activity
Post by: Torp v2.0 on July 14, 2005, 12:51:16 pm
I'm bored, and you aren't active enough! I'm sitting at work, and depending on you for entertainment, but you're not delivering. There are only two solutions. Either, you provide me entertainment, or you link me to entertainment.

So come on, give me some fun, worksafe links...

GO OUTSIDE
Title: Re: Activity
Post by: Spiff on July 14, 2005, 01:05:50 pm
I personally don't post much because I don't have much to say. :p

Entertainment... wait, shouldn't you be working? Anyway, here (http://users.skynet.be/ney/game/orbb/)'s a simple Javascript game with 50 levels made by my friend. Unless you're easily bored. I've beaten it, yay.

If you are disturbingly easily amused, there's also a short 14-strip comic here (http://83.227.192.48/daniel/dust/), just read the info first.

GO OUTSIDE

I'm at work. I cannot go outside. Or, I can, but then I'll just have to sit outside in the rain. That's even less fun...

I am easily amused. But 14 strips just aren't enough to keep me amused long enough.

lol pretty good comic :P If you're bored there are tons of comics to read through from start to finish.. MegaTokyo, Penny Arcade, Little Gamers, Real Life Comics, A Modest Destiny, PvP and others are more than enough to get caught up with for a while.. other than that, there's always ebaumsworld, boreme.com and abum.com for flash games and movies.. and beyond that, there's always pr0n :P If your work filters you, get a site that runs cgi (or a mate's site that runs CGI) and install nph-proxy, which lets you use it to get to anything that  your work filters block.. or you could google for nph-proxy.cgi and use those :P

If I ever meet a comic, you can be assured I will read all of it. Every single ctrlalt del, every single fucking penny arcade, every single one of the others i said about in the webcomic thread, plus more recent ones that I've found like TwoKinds (its a furry one...)

have you read all of sluggy freelance?
Title: Re: Activity
Post by: Torp v2.0 on July 18, 2005, 06:18:00 pm
Of course I have. I was in the army last year. Got through it in less than a week, I seem to remember. That's fucking fast, considering the extremely slow internet connection we had.

I was really bored in the army. Not like now, I'm just moderately bored now.

No.

www.sluggy.com (http://www.sluggy.com)

that one should take you a while! (unless your Torp, apperently)

Am I the only one that wasn't amused by that pixel comic? I dunno, I read some more, I just wasn't laughing.

Me neither. I was more like "Yeah, that could be considered as funny." Like watching a new Simpsons episode: Mildly entertaining but nothing that makes you really laugh or sticks in your memory.

I read all pf sluggy on DSL. about a week too. Im now over a month behind BECAUSE IT TURNED SHIT AND I STOPPED CARING. tell me when all the cast (eg bunbun, torg, etc) come back. Now i only read the saturday strips. (<3 rob and elliot)

edit: i take that back. Ive just been through the recent archive. While "oceans unmoving" sucked donkey dong, the stuff since is better.

rob and elliot is great :D

I quite liked oceans unmoving, not as good as the more recent stuff but still fun. I dunno, I just like pirates...

Cntl+Alt+Del Online (http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/)

Pretty good webcomic. One of my favorites. :)

VG Cats (http://www.vgcats.com/)

2 felines that spoof various games. Very amusing ;D Highly suggested to cure boredom. (also is the comic where AKA Laser got his avatar :P)

Um... anyone read through this? *Shameless plug again (http://83.227.192.48/um/)* >_> May be too boring though, it has way more text than intended.

Looks cool, but just not to my taste.

I dun really like serious webcomics, I have one in my whole list, and I don't even read it that much.

I like to laugh when I'm online.  ;D

Characters are cool lookin', though...

Yeah, I understand. Most people want comics to be funny and casual, while serious comics are more like reading a book with illustrations.

I'll give it a try some day, when I feel like reading a serious comic. I do read serious comics (mostly paper editions - Hellblazer, Preacher, etc, but also a couple of web-based ones (thought I read them irregularly - I hate reading a non-funny comic one strip at a time, with long breaks between each strip. I often even skip some of the funny storybased strips for weeks, so that I can read more than one strip*. Not Sluggy, though. I need my daily dose of Sluggy Freelance - and Something Positive and Userfriendly as well, though they are not as storydriven), so it might work for me.

*which reminds me - time to read MegaTokyo again, soon. And a couple of comics I haven't read in over a month. And probably Real Life as well.

Read some of the stuff, looks good. Thanks for the suggestion.  :)

I've started reading ctrl+alt+del, and I love it. Still somewhere in 2004, archive-wise, so that'll take a while...
