I've played a bit of Civ2 back in my time, but I thought that Master(s?) Of Orion 2 (MoO2) was a much better game because you get to manage huge planets and advance your people into the next era then to conquer the galaxy with your little people fighting other little people. But MoO3 was much worse than MoO3 is.

Smeagol: get MoO2 (not MoO3) it works on my 366mhz celery.

@ chompy: erm, moo3 probly wouldn't run on my pc, it's decided to even stop running fallout 2, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! besides it came out after civ3, which is too advancded, sniff

@ BloodAngel: stupidly high scores in the civ series (especially 2) aren't too hard to notch up, 3's the hardest for it though, but that's only because they made it a lot harder to get nukes by 1400 AD

i still play alpha centauri (it works on my cheap crappy win 98 system, WOOT!) university are THE best faction by a mile, followed by gaians then Hive IMO
I prefer Hive, then Spartans, then University. Gaians are rather low on my list.

Civ 2 was, and always will be, the greatest. Followed by Civ 3 and then Alpha Centuri.

I got 17000+ in one game in Civ 3 ;D Was a scenario though.......

Maybe I should play Alpha Centuri again. Maybe I just got a bad impression of it cos it wasn't Civ. It's sat on the shelf above me right now... Looming.

Eh, Mind Worms were always more of an annoyance to me than a threat.

Locusts of Chiron, though... *shudders*

mind worms = favourite unit

they don't automatically get 0wned by plasma sentinels hiding behind perimeter def. instantly early on in the game.....chaos rovers are nice early on as well though...
