Snatch (the best)

The more recent undeadly ones:

Starship Troopers
Matrix
Black Hawk Down (yes! I needed a plain story in a time with BigBrother and backstabbing).

The older ones:

The Abyss (never get tired of that movie)
Convoy
Blues Brothers
Ace Ventura
Desperado and the other Tarantino movies.
Star Wars triology (4-6). (There is only one. The later movies is just a way of getting more money).

aggh.. like you said. Too many movies, and so little time.

But the movies that didn't reach up to my undeadly rank, is LotR first two movies. It's just too hyped. The books wasn't that extraordinary either (I'm not trolling, please! All is IMHO. Mark my words: IMHO! I'm a fan of the genre, but Tolkien is not my god.)

5th Element
Wild at Heart
Angel Baby
Amelie from Montmartre
Chicago Cab (with Paul Dillon)
Leaving Las Vegas
Final Fantacy
Flash Gordon

I knew someone would comment that. Robert Rodriguez and Tarantino have worked close togheather in other films, so this one might be influenced by him (since he play in that movie).  Take a look at From Dusk till Dawn. The same actors, but this time both Tarantino and Rodriguez are credited. Four rooms, the same thing, but only a few actors from the other films.

Tarantino is not credited in Desperado II: Once upon a time in Mexico. He doesn't even play. So I doubt that would be any good :) Maybe like the El Mariachi?

Hero! I like it very much because it´s wonderful scenery and coulors! wow! And yes, the Ring of course!....the first one is awesome, but the Towers - nje...I liked Gollum though, all the expressions that shows in his eyes and his bodylanguage! cool. They have managed to create him very well indeed!  :D  I´m really curious how the final part in this triology will be like.

Yeah, youre right. LotR was hyped far too much.
Not that its a bad movie, but its just another Fantasy-Story - to me its no Epos ;)

And anyway its full of facism and racism, but thats the problem with all these Fantasy-stories based on nordic myths. I dont really care about, but sometimes its pretty obvious ;)

Couldnt watch Hero yet, but I'm pretty curious about it.
The Trailer looked awesome, great chinese film-making :)

About Hero; don´t expect much action like in Con Air/James Bond movies.... But I´m sure you are going to like it very much if you preciate moviemaking/art and some philosofy...but it´s a very beautiful movie to experience.  :)

Gollum, yes, Gollum. I forgot. He is maybe the best "animated" creature I've ever seen. He is the lord of the rings ;) All those expressions. I was stunned how life like he was created. The internal struggeling between Gollum and Smyagol was maybe the best part of LotR:2towers
