11 Years.
« on: December 08, 2017, 12:06:40 am »
I have to say, searching my old username and browsing my old posts hit me quite hard.

It's so hard to believe that a over decade has passed since I was here. How the fuck has time gone by so fast? It feels like yesterday when Redeemer UE popped through my letterbox and I was sharing my thoughts with everybody on the forum. I'll never forget the moment I opened the CD case for the first time.  Machinae Supremacy was the first band I really fell in love with.
I'm 28 now. I've graduated as a teacher, a real job with real responsibilities. Reading these posts back, though, seeing that huge transformation from what I used to be..It's quite jarring.

I miss this place so much.  I miss how simple life was as a 16-17 year old, the whole world ahead with everything open to me. I've made lots of choices since then, some I'm proud of, some less so. But to think, through all of that, through all the joy and the heartache and everything in between; this place, this time capsule of my past, remains here for strangers to look at whenever they stumble upon this place.

If anyone comes across my post on a journey of uncovering a small fragment of their past, I hope this place meant as much to you as it did to me. I also hope that, sincerely, you have all moved on to do great, incredible things. I know the band has released plenty of amazing content since 2006. For me, though, Redeemer UE is the album I will always come back to.

For better or for worse.

After 20 failed login attempts i managed to find the combination to my account. Awesome to see you're doing well, Alex!
I'm closing in on 30 now, and fondly remember the insane amount of time spent with the rest of you guys on this forum.
Currently i've started my own studio, and you're able to find me on :)

Yup, it's been a while. I remember being 16 once.
