First time hearing the band
« on: May 26, 2004, 05:46:47 am »
Hello from U.S.A... My friend got me hooked on Machinae and I can't stop listening to them..They actually help me when I play video games..I'm just curious why they haven't been fully noticed by gamers/public over here yet.

Actually, they haven't been fully noticed anywhere yet. ;D
I live in the USA too and I can tell you exactly why Machinae hasn't been fully noticed. Not all gamers around here remember the Commodore 64. To my knowledge, it was much more successful in Europe. Someone else is gonna have to comfirm that though.
And as for non-gamers, well it's Britney Spears pop shit and rap that plagues the USA. That's not to say that Machinae can't do well out here. I'm sure they can make just as many numbers as Linkin Park can. Unfortunately society refuses to notice the greats at times.

I love the band Dream Theater. They do sell out shows in America and make good enough record sales to keep pushing out more albums, but ask anyone and 9 times out of 10 they haven't heard of the band. Luckily their music is very successful in Europe and Japan.
I'm sure Machinae will make it to the USA someday.
Signature has been removed due to violation of size-constraints.

Its pretty much the same deal everywhere really. The most you could do is pimp it around on other forums, friends, LANs, etc. So you get the word out. What I like to do when ftps have a d/l ratio, I up them the songs offered on their site.

Shrudders at linkin park.

yay dream theater!! actualy i was thinking how awesome it would be to have a DT and machinae tour.. I think that would work out pretty well.. also all (or most) of the DT guys seem friendly and more accessible than alot of other bands, like machinae (or at least robert  ;) ) like Mike Portnoy still does instructional clinics and I think he also answers things on the forum on his website... that would so rock though.. all of the people ive had listen to the machinae cd so far like it so maybe if us american fans raise some money we can give them some monetary aid in getting here or something  ;) hopefully.. eventually..

I'm sure when you're navigated, Jupiter is in between Sweden and USA.

map reading can go pretty wrong as well...all you need is a vehicle capable of space travel, ruling out NASA

European Space Agency: Mission To Mars:

1)Head up straight up.
2) Once it goes all black around you head towards the red dot that's a big bigger than the other dots.
3) Turn left at the asteroid
4 ) Land on anything that looks red.

"What asteroid?"
Crash.

yeah most mainstream stuff is either crap or gone/going

eg. all this poppy crap, it's a load of useless shit and the only few good  mainstream bands who are still producing music have released greatest hits albums like HIM and RHCP, it's a shame really but they just really couldn't compete with the likes of peter andre and that crap, and people wonder why the music industries are losing money? everyone's downloading music cos it's the only place they can really find any music they want anymore
