Just some random ideas floating around my head :)

- Sample the 'waters of life' Biblical quote from Fallout 3, thought that was pretty cool. Either as intro / outro / middle quiet bit.

- "The children's innocence poisoned by the tools of mankind."

- "The sickened sun blinds them just as when they first entered this world"

- "War never changes but why must we suffer?"

Play with this line from the fallout 3 soundtrack / trailer song
"I dont want to set the world on fire"

Oh and also, get Megaton in there somehow! :)

First reaction when reading the opening post: "OMG fuck yeah I can contribute to MaSu in a really cool, unique way."

Second reaction: "Oh yeah, I'm completely not-creative. Fuck me!"

Good luck with finding some nice lyrics here Rob!

You do realize all the songs on the Fallout 3 radio are real, right? For instance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6l6vqPUM_FE

Yes, I know, it's depressing what they thought was good music back in the 50's and 60's.

Then again, it's depressing what many people think is good music today...

This could maybe very possibly be done with SID sounds, for the track. Just a suggestion  ;)

I'd love to hear that, especially the first two songs, which are really lovely :)

Dude, those 40's and 50's songs are great. You'll get bored out of your skull when listening a whole album, but there are so many classic lyrics and 'moods' from that time.

I have to admit, they're more than great. I have a 4,5 hour playlist of 40-60's music and I listen to it almost everyday. Like I said, the vibe, mood and shit coming from that music is unbelievable. Makes you want to live in those damn 50's. Songs like: That lucky old sun, I don't want to set the world on fire, Civilization, Anything goes, Orange colored sky are fucking full of sunshine and great joy; damn I have to take a listen right now  ;D

Okay, hey, not meaning to harsh on your groove. My musical tastes only go as far back as the late 60's.

To help with lyrics, it might be nice to spoof and tribute one of the Fallout 3 radio station songs. For example, you could do (any variatian of) this:

"I just want to set the world on fire
"I don't want to start a flame in your heart
"But I will"

"In my heart I had more than one disire
"More than just you
"Only you won't do"

And then start building from that to something more Masu-esq:

"I have ambition for wordly acclaim
"I want to be the one everyone loves
"Without your admission that you feel the same
"I'll reach the goal I'm conquering for"

To end it full-out war-Masu-esq (  ??? ):

"Follow me me blindly
"I will set the world on fire
"I will start the flames in your heart"

That's a really good idea actually... Although I'll probably settle for ripping an expression or two from it perhaps. :)

It's my job to keep SID elite.
