If there was a DVD of a gig, say for example the recent Assembly gig which was recorded in HD, would you buy it?

Yes! I'd love to support the band by throwing more money at them!

No. I want it to be free and on YouTube because I'm a skinflint.

Not only would I buy it 5 times over, but I have video editing experience and may be able to help edit it!

Will an audio version be available so I can listen to it on teh go :D

Hope not...

What?

Let me add my own heresy on that. Sure, gig video in high quality is uber awesome and we all can't wait for it, but do you really enjoy listening to gig recordings alone with all those people shouting in the back, recordings that will never even come close in terms of quality to studio records?

I mean, I never did D:

You're like my mum. "Why bother going to live shows when they sound better on the record."

Because they are different. Maybe not as quality or as polished, but still good, and I for one like listening to good quality bootlegs etc. on my iPod. Especially on good quality speakers/headphones, the vibe can easily be retained, and they sound brilliant.

Yes, even without an official lossless audio copy, I will still make my own audio rip for my iPod, but the distortion and artefacts that appear when making a lossy->lossy conversion could be eradicated with a copy straight from the source, hence why I asked.

Actually, I do. I prefer to listen live recordings because, In my opinion, they better express the band and its style and feeling than studio recordings.

The reason I asked if a live recording was available dude - was because personally I DO prefer live recordings.

I think they showcase the band in a better light, and especially with a metal band, gives them a rawer feel.

Where?

I'm such an idiot. I rechecked where I thought I'd read it, and I had misread it:

video will be rendered in about 20h and if it comes clean it will be out soooon(tm)

I read it "in about 20th".

I'm such a 'tard.

HA-HA! I knew it! Those cameras couldn't have been just for Assembly TV. I can't wait to watch it.
Socially retarded, musically impaired, unwillingly terrifying.

It was mentioned, in another thread, about the cameras visible in fan recordings.

Yes they were. The Machinae Supremacy live at Assembly Summer 2011 was a pure AssemblyTV / LiveCrew production :)

EDIT: Oh, I forgot that Valet2 provided an additional camera which he filmed by himself :)

I know because I'm the producer ;)
