Here is a list of what I already have: Cowboy Bebop. Fullmetal Alchemist. s-CRY-ed. X. Scrapped Princess. Berserk. Robotech (complete). Akira. Ninja Scroll. Burst Angel. Escaflowne. Outlaw Star. Helsing. and thats all :D

Among some I always loved:

  • Death Note, of course, for some awesome plot and mindfucking ideas.
  • Durarara for some great characters and interesting, multi-layered plot.
  • Gurren Lagann for some over-the-all-tops epicness.
  • Kara no Kyoukai for story so deep and complicated that I don't get what the fuck is going on.
  • Panty & Stocking for EVERYTHING :D

All of these are pretty new and have some very nice graphics and animation which makes them even more pleasant to watch.

Soul Eater is the only anime i've ever like (Apart from Pokemon ofc). ITS AWESOME and not that japanese, which is good, because i know shit about the -san -chan -sama things and all the complicated parts. Also, i hate overdone mech action.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (Series)
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: 2nd Gig (Series, continues the above)
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society (Film, set after the above two)

Watch it dubbed. The dubbing is excellent. Stunning music, top class animation.

Bubblegum Crisis

Took the cyberpunk genre and ran with it. If you like, maybe pick up the AD Vision reimagining, Bubblegum Crisis 2040.

Planetes

Possibly the hardest science fiction manga/anime ever. It's about a group that removes debris from the space around Earth. Better than it sounds.

This, definitely. But be careful, the story is very deep and complex, you might get lost from time to time. I had to watch GitS: SAC2 twice to get the full picture.

I picked up Ghost in the Shell SAC. The 1st show and so far I am loving it! I am thinking of picking up Death Note next. Since we are on the anime topic has anyone seen Persona Trinity Soul?

Man, I doubt I would still be able to watch this anime considering how many squeaky girlie-fans this series has. But someday, when it stops being popular...

I'd personally recommend you Serial Experiments Lain, if you fancy GITS-like stuff, Cowboy Beebop for some heart-warming sci-fi western-like stuff, and Berserk if you enjoy very dark (almost warhammer-like) series with lots of medieval swordfighting.

Gundam Wing
Samurai Champloo
Trigun
Initial D (if you like cars)
Death Note - regardless of how popular it is, it's still a great series

That's all I can think of right now ^^

So.. what you are saying isn't that you don't think you wouldn't like it, but rather that you want to pass up something that might be good 'cause it's popular? ;)
Oi, is this when I get a huge sig-image, start whining about "moar sid" and make nonsensical arguments to no good?

Same reason I stopped eating and breathing. Racists do that, and I'm no racist.
