What if we make like some fund, where everyone can put money in so MaSu can tour more (Like them coming to lowlands 2011)
Seems like a good idea right?

Whoops. Wrong board. Can anyone please move this to band discussion? Thank you.

This idea (or similar ideas) have been up before.
The band has previously stated (correct me if I'm wrong) that they do not wish to have direct monetary donations.
This would mean we'd have to form a club or something "The macy booking committee". For funding projects that bring MaSu to different locations.
Problem: most people who want to donate to such a thing would probably all be wanting them to get to different shows/venues/festivals. For example, I'd love to see MaSu at Lowlands, but would I pay money just for them to get there? -No, then I'd rather invest that money in booking the guys somewhere closer to my location.

My point?
A nice idea, but impossible to do on a larger scale.

However, gathering your local fanbase to arrange for a booking of the band to your local pub/venue/whatnot is perfectly doable and completely fucking batshitly awesome. I've  done this for another of my favourite bands, and it was a blast.

Those are called streetteams, fanbased groups that for example hand out posters and flyers etc. promotionwork.

We? They? You are just the sound engineer.  :P

What Socramon here says! :D

I mean something like that, yes. People that go to Lowlands Staff or something (you know) and ask if their band can come play there.
And we can make a schedule for where they can tour and when.
