Web server maintenance

Hey,

Refic and I are prepping to do some server maintenance, partly to see if the problem with people's fan pack downloads stalling can be resolved, but also to upgrade to a more current OS and a newer development platform for the website.

The official www has been moved to another server for the duration, but since the forum is (a teeeeeny bit) less crucial we're likely to just leave it offline until the original server is back up. This will happen soon, possibly today.

So that's why the epic fan pack kept timing out when I was trying to download it, I thought his computer was just crap. If you like ubuntu based Linux OS's but don't really like ubuntu try Linux mint gnome edition (or whatever desktop environment you prefer, there's also LXDE and I think KDE).

My fan pack downloaded fine ;)

Good luck with the upgrades though, make sure to keep Murphy's law in mind.

Its BLU now, but great. Thanks robert, I had to wait 10 hrs to see a PM I got yesterday, only to find out it was someone bugging me about how to get the fan pack. Ah well, it's for the best, but the remark about the forum was uncalled for :P

The forum is now on a different server while the old one is being reinstalled and such. As is the website.
