Software synthesizer similiar to SIDstation
« on: January 10, 2010, 02:49:45 pm »
I was wondering if there is anything like that. I'm currently using reason, bought me an M-Audio Oxygen 49 for home recording and such. Is there any way I could get a similiar sound, but I lack the $$$ and all that shiny stuff that goes with it (credit cards etc).
I was more into remixing stuff, but I finally figured I want to create my own music, I have a pretty decent computer, and a good deal of software synths, drum sequencers and all. But I miss the MS game sounds :)

OT: I'm new here, but I've been listening to MS since Jets'n'Guns came out. The moment I heard Hero I was sold

I haven't used Reason but I've heard that VST plugins doesn't work with it (Cubase, ProTools, Logic, Reaper among others work). I might be wrong though.
However... linx 4 u:

Hi,

Best hardware like Sidstation :

If you are interested in experimental hardware, search 'chiptune circuit bending' on Google.

If you prefer softwares, use VST plugins :

... or chiptrackers :

... or use real 8-bit samples

I put MP3 demo for each things (and for my little pleasure too !  ;)). Most of these softwares or samples are free:)

Good luck !
