Video Competition
« on: April 30, 2004, 01:41:41 am »
ok here it is - The first 100% unnoficial Machinae Supremacy video competition.
heres how it works

- pick a machinae song
- make a video
- upload it some place
- post a link here

when all (we'll say a max of 10) are ready then we'll start a poll.

The winner gets absolutely nothing...unless someone wants to offer a prize

onward!

Sub-competition: For those of you without video editting software: Storyboard Competition.

Exactly the same as VT's rules, but all you have to submit is a storyboard (or at least a really good description); INSERT INTO yabbse_messages (ID_MSG, ID_TOPIC, ID_MEMBER, subject, posterName, posterEmail, posterTime, posterIP, smiliesEnabled, modifiedTime, modifiedName, body, icon, attachmentSize, attachmentFilename) VALUES and when we have 10 we'll make a poll for this one too.

Hot diggity!!!! I'm in.
Maybe for those without video editing software, to generate a storyboard, so it could be created as a video later.

I'm already almost done! mwahaha. Since I intended to this before any conception of a contest, I already had a lot of my ideas. I've figured out Adobe Premeire to the point where I have the song playing (Player One was my choice) and it synched up to some video over the Solo so far. Its gonna be gooood.

Grave Zero, coming atcha.

For those without video editing software, i recommend downloading the windows movie maker 2.0 it has 2 main advanages
1) its free
2) its really really really easy to ise

of course this means that it has next to none of the features that premiere has but has simple transition effects and supports a soundtrack!

I've seen a lot of talk about premiere ... So I feel I can add something...

I really like Sonic Foundry's "Vegas" for video editing... It's a lot simpler and more intuitive than premiere, although you don't get for instance "free" MPEG2 or Quicktime codecs, like you do with Premiere.

Anyhow, I'd recommend Vegas.

I have got a little question: should the video have something to do with "real films" or more with retro gaming? *thinksonmegamanscenesfromthesnes*

I know I'd hesitate at least twice before I'd watch the final product of a Machinae porn video ;D

Any close ups in it you think?
Resistance is not futile, it only pisses people off :)

I downloaded Vegas and I reckon its a great product. Easy to use and a 500USD price tag  :o , 30 day trial

How long did you want to string this out??? for 30 days when my trial runs out??? less/>

Hi all!

I was just wondering, is there any limitations or rules of the video, such as size, resolution, length etc. ?
