I'm not going to double the ones I know but mentioned previously.

Pain - Play Dead (Bjork), Here is the News (Electric Light Orchestra), Behind the Wheel (Depeche Mode)
Rammstein - Stripped (Depeche Mode)
Blowsight - Poker Face
Dope - You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)
Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal (Michael Jackson)

The metalness of the last three bands may be disputed, but I added them whatsoever.
There is also a cover of Holy Diver by Killswitch Engage of course, but I don't consider Dio as mainstream pop.  ::)

Guano Apes - Big in Japan. Not exactly metal, but I included it because it's good.
Randy Piper's Animal - Zombie Amazing job turning such a dark song to an upbeat party tune.
Vision Divine - Take on Me Cheesy power metal covering at its best.

EDIT: Just in case someone doesn't notice: The titles are links.

Since when is Guano Apes not nu-metal/alt metal?

Goodnight Nurse - Milkshake (great cover imo)

Also, I remember reading somewhere that MaSu wanted to cover Toxic but some other band at the time had already done it, which is why they went with Gimme More. I can't remember what band it was though. :(

Local H did a cover of Toxic. It was actually fairly good. It may be cheesey but i would love to hear a MaSu version of Europe's The Final Countdown
