IIRC it took less than 1 week to get my monk to lvl20 with full elite kurz armors (in Factions).
Sigh... that brings back memories... over 2k hours played in total
I used to be awesome like you, then I took an arrow in the knee.

With EotN you can get from 10-20 in less than a day or pretty close to it, if you like doing really repetitive exp grinds

Titles are the only real grind in the game...you could just play the game normal and get 20 easy, its only grind if you wanna get there really really really fast :p

Dont forget the money-grinding! My alliance gave me the nickname "rich bastard" after I bought an everlasting (massive-floating-head) tonic and undedicated minipet-Mallyx "just because I was bored". :P
Sadly Im not officer anymore because I havent been active in year(s).

Not sure how much Destroyer cores go for anymore...I have 15 in storage because I already bought those gloves (and never use them)

Right now the Canthan new year event is going on, so most people will be there wasting money on mini games and mini pets :/

New profession leaked: Thief

Quote
Thieves are adept at the art of stealth. They utilize surprise and
shadow to get close to their enemies, and they’re deadly in
one-on-one combat. They have an affinity for setting traps and
going where they where never meant to go. (Thieves wear medium
armor.)

It was leaked during GDC, Anet has given permission now, so it is official news.

Just have to wait for them to add the information, videos and other bits to the www.guildwars2.com page

The new demo for PAX East also contains the norn areas, Guardian and Thief as a playable class as well.

Unlike PAX in Seattle, with the glory of all of their shaky cam videos, there are plenty of livestream captured videos from the new demo stations.

GDC Videos:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

Arenanet having some fun with April Fools and revealing the Commando profession!

A master of the battlefield, this elite soldier is equally at home on the mean streets of Lion's Arch, in the steamy Maguuma Jungle, or on the Orrian front. The multi-role commando is a combat medic, an infiltrator, and a tank. By land, sea, or air, the commando is a technological force to be reckoned with. Come get some.

"Thats....a big chicken."
