Quote from: Gamescom
(August 19-22) – This is the big one folks! I’m happy to announce that we will unveil the first public hands-on demo of Guild Wars 2 at gamescom in Cologne, Germany! If you want to be the first in your guild to play GW2 (and you’re in Europe), this is the show to attend. Naturally, we’ll have tons of ArenaNet staff on-hand, including studio head Mike O’Brien and German community manager Martin Kerstein, plus lots of cool activities. But let’s face it; we know it’s all about the game. We’ll have more details about the GW2 demo in the near future.

And here I have this big ocean in my way!

Guild Wars 2 has won the Best Online Game award for Gamescon 2010 recently, with an influx of new videos, and the live demos getting such positive reactions, it seems well deserved.

They went from nearly Emo in GW1, to genuinely sinister in GW2

Necromancing Ze Thread!

I have not updated this thread in a while, they have released a new class and a lot of new information, as well as people have had plenty of time running through Gamescom and PAX demos, but the last blog post they made caught my eye, and is worth a read:

In a first person shooter there can be a variety of weapons, from sniper rifles to rocket launchers to machine guns and shotguns. No one looks at these weapons and says, “They’re all the same, they all just do DPS.” Why should an MMO be any different?

It is very easy to get 30/50, and everything past 30 points is just titles.

I play all the time you never logon anymore, same with your friend :P

If you own Eye of the North, you can power level a character from 10-20 in no time at all, I would show you how if you want to
