I play a lot of teh Rock Band on drumz or guitarz wif vocalz (2ge4!). Drum charts would be a piece of cake I think, the rest of them wouldn't be a problem either, at least if the band would give some help. The only real problem is that i'm banned on xbox live. :D
I'd be glad to help in any possible way to make MaSu rule our consoles.

it's possible to make more in short time, but there could be some helpful things like bpm or videos with recorded "how we play it" (just recording of guitarists/drummers, not guide ofcoz  ^-^). if other people (other than me) want to chart, i suggest using feedback. if u re advanced, you may use eg reaper midi built in editor + metallicahero chart converter by leff.

so, dezo, what do we do now? i personally have no PC to work on, cuz my one is broken... need to buy new (but no cash :/). my little bro has PC, but he doesnt let me use it ( >:().
will masu hire ppl to work with feedback? hmm...

We've had some royally fucked up shit to take care of... bear with me, I'm on top of this and I'll give you all info after we in the band have decided how to do.

also try hunting for nintend0g0d. idk if he's forumer, but he is tr00 pr0

Hes actually considered doing a custom WT chart for Hero, but dropped it since making the Vocal part is near impossible. Now that this is out, he may interested and would probably love to do it.

However, as good as he is and as much as he'd love to do it, hes just one guy and doing an entire chart, all difficulties, all instruments, effects, ect. might be a little large for him, or it will take a long time. I'll still bring it up to him next time I see him.

The band can also look into places like this, http://www.rhythmauthors.com/ they seem to be formed by a collection of the top scorehero charters. It even looks like Marillion (for all you Prog fans) has dubed them worthy  = )

Sorry to bring up an old thread to life, but I figured it was better than to start a new one.

How's the RBN project coming up? I noticed that MaSu is mentioned in the Official Rock Band Network thread in the RockBand-forums. There's lots of information regarding the RBN and it's tools in the forum, so I figured I'd point it out if it has somehow escaped your attention.

Here's a link: http://www.rockband.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=41

Hope this helps :)

Rock Band Network is up and running now, though it has a total lack of MaSu at the moment.

Well I wasn't a forumer before, but now I TOTALLY am!! Lymph, I'm flattered :)
I was so ecstatic when my friend FB'd this to me...I'm really honored and humbled that people still like my charts (of which I haven't made any more for about a year, lol).
It'd be a blast to be able to do this for MaSu if it's in their best interests.

As for how I make charts, I try to do as much by ear as possible. First, I start out by figuring out the different tempos & meter changes and then laying notes the notes down. (thank you MaSu for consistent tempos!!!) I'm currently in the midst of a music and cello performance degree, so my theory/partwriting and composition skills are a little improved from last time :P
Also, I have perfect pitch so that'll help massively when charting vox.
If I find something particularly hard to discern, I'll find a guitar tab or drum chart, preferably from the band themselves at this site.

Back in the day, I could pump out an expert-only co-op chart for GH3 in less than a few hours (once I learned how to copy/paste in feedback, lol).
Naturally, figuring out the RB software and putting in the charts for other difficulties will take some more time, but I could probably get in a chart every two weeks or so if I'm not extremely busy. Of course, this frequency can increase over the summer :)

I really would LOVE to do this!!

So, now we just haf to find some of our old projects so that we don't haf to re-record everything and we're of to RBN!

Please give me a PM (with your email address) all of you who like to help us with this and I'll try to speed up the process and give you all a mail when we're ready to do some stuff.
Ok?

Oh, and ofc we'll reward the ones that help us.
