Wishes for the next album
« on: April 16, 2009, 09:45:10 pm »
Hey i´m new here, but I wanna start something creative. So I thought to make a thread about our wishes how the next album should be.

My wish is that you guys make a similar album to Deus Ex Machinae. I don´t want an exact copy of it, but I really enjoy the beautiful guitar solos in it and the classic elements like in Soundtrack to the rebellion. On the other hand I like the political lyrics in Seventeen. (everybody thinks I´m insane cause I sing along everytime i hear this song).

I also like the SID in Dark City and Truth of Tomorrow, it really sounds like these songs are from the future (don´t know how to explain it).

And I don´t know who of you is making the backing vocals (as I said me=newbie) but I want this guy to sing a song alone.

Ok now it´s time for your wishes and suggestions.

Ignore mumppis, he hasn't had sex in a while.

I on the other hand, have! So yeah :]

My wish is that they go back to their roots, the last album was so dark at times and was probably meant to sound more mature, but i loved the old sound =D

I post once every six years, but yeah.

I've liked pretty much every song they've put out, but I have to say Redeemer probably is my least favorite collection. Overworld was great though, and so was DXM. I'd like to see a bit of everything, but I've been pleased with what they've done so far... so I probably won't be disappointed.

Also Rob's voice on the new album was awesome, so yeah. :p

Yeah, and I liked Redeemer and Overworld much better than DXM.

I'd say the band pretty much knows what they're doing and that's NOT to do the same things again. ;)
We're open to such things, we've even talked many times about doing it with Inja, but in a way that's redundant because we can already get Erica
:o brown chicken brown cow :o

I agree with with Crazywater.
Redeemer (UE) feels like such a complete album to me. I think it's a real adventure listening through it.

I have no doubt the band will come up with something new and awsome as usual.
But some orchestra epicness would be nice.

I just don understand why people wanna go back make same album than dxm or overworld. The guys have done a different kinda album everytime and evolved their style. Saying stuff omg do dxm again is like argh. Every album that they made sofar has been a huuuuge positive impact you can hear how much they have evolve in every style.

Nevertheless, some people may prefer one of the earlier styles to its "evolved" counterpart. It's their prerogative to choose which album they prefer. Plus, he took care to point out that these are "wishes and suggestions", which [at least to me] differentiates him from the OMG U NEED TO DO THIS CAUSE U SOLD OUT crowd.

Personally, I find Redeemer to be a great album, closely followed by Deus, with Overworld lagging slightly behind. I still can't wait to see what the band does differently in their next release.

The SID is an instrument.
We use it as such.
Please refrain from saying such blatant things as "More SID" or "More distorted guitars" and such.
That's just counterproductive and really doesn't help us in any way.

Whurd, yo. That discussion has already taken place, everyone (ESPECIALLY the band) is fuckin' tired of people yammering "zomg moar SID plx!".
Constructive suggestions please, or this thread will be moved to less productive sections.
