Death Race

It features Jason Statham, fresh off of the cinematic triumphs that were War and In The Name of the King, and a rapper.
It has Roger Corman's name plasted judiciously over the credits.
It is a semi-remake of the 1975 movie Death Race 2000, also Roger Corman-produced (tag line: "In the year 2000 hit and run driving is no longer a felony. It's the national sport!").
So you see, expectations were not high.
They were also, however, exceeded.
At least I think they were; i was not paying as much attention as i could have been.
But the action was competent, the story unobstrusive, and the desperate desire to be turned into a video game wholly evident.

6/10

I found the ending to be pretty weak and a bit of an anti-climax.

Also see the PS2 game 'Mashed' and 'Road Rash' quite similar to the concept of Death Race.

Just watched 'Lucky Number Slevin' was a pretty excellent movie, only let down was with my 2 theories about the twist (I like to have two to increase my chance of being right) ... I was right with both and having prior knowledge to the unknown is something I don't enjoy too much when it does become known. Best line: "I'm a world class assassin, fuck head, how do you think I found out?".

Stars Bruce Willis which is always refreshing to see him out of a IMMA SUPERHERO movie (i.e. Die Hard).

Oh and 9/10.

I remember watching Slevin when it first came out. I remember it being a damn good movie for it's genre. I don't remember what the hell it was about.

I too, vaguely recall what it was about, Bruce Willis had an awesome part though!

- Zack and Miri Make a Porno

This movie is a truckload of fun to watch, i think mostly because i myself am in the movie business and and familiarize with the stuff that can go wrong, but also Seth Rogen is a hilarious dude. There is also a part where the guy from Jeepers Creepers 1 plays a gay actor, wich is imo one of the funnies parts of the movie.
Jay from Clerks, and  Randall also play in this movie.
Too bad there wasn't really an ending though..

8/10!

actually it's not so much, except for the cars fight go boom aspect. part of the problem is that the new movie isn't very much like the old movie except in that very same aspect.

also, i must clarify; my 6/10 was because it was terrible in the ways i expected it to be and few others, plus it didn't aspire to anything higher. so as a Film, maybe 2/10, but as a .avi file, definitely 8/10. the ending was pretty weak, but it, like the rest of the plot, was more or less extraneous anyway.

Role Models - Great movie, lots of funny lines and a little black kid who is hilarious.
Stars the guy who is best known as Stiffler and also stars the guy who is obsessed with his ex in 40 Year Old Virgin, can't remember their names :(

The 18 year old virgin

Horrible movie, really, full of cliche's and bad acting.
The movie is really all shot at a single scene.
Just, bad..

Sean William Scott and Paul Rudd, respectively.

Paul Rudd is also going to be in that new movie with the dude from How I Met Your Mother, which looks awesome. ;D
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

am I the only one who hates the group of actors that fall in the likes of Paul Rudd, Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill... etc.

Just generally bad movies with humor inspired by drunken antics and not by wit.

Wanted - 10/10

I don't usually like to give a perfect score, but this film just raises the bar on all accounts. I didn't think it was possible to make a film so hilariously shit, but they nailed it. I'm still trying to rack my brains to think of a single redeeming factor... Nope. Nothing. Incredible.

Most of those actors, it's true, but it also happens to work for me. I also find Will Ferrel to be a legend in his own right.
