Gaming Monthly - October
« on: October 01, 2008, 10:51:00 pm »
New month, new thread. You know the drill!

Mostly been playing Mount&Blade v1.003 lately, and some TF2. They're the only two games I've installed under Wine currently, and both are working very acceptably (though some weird graphical bugs and stuff occasionally... I'm sure it will be ironed out with future versions of Wine).
<@Torp> I have seen your melted pussy!

I'm still waiting for Midnight Club: LA. Other than that, I haven't really played much of anything... Watching a boat load of movies, thats about it right now.

Mount&Blade v.1.003
UnReal World - during October new version will be out
Delta Force Xtreme (just bought it week ago)
Flatout 2
Fallout (the 1st one, ordered it from GOG as my CD-version was ruined somehow)

Also, Earth 2025 from the category of browser games.
Random ramblings and furious feminine novels per versatility.

Currently playing Fable: TLC (just obtained the Sword of Aeons  8)), Bionic Commando Rearmed, occasionally Counter-Strike 1.6 and Call of Duty 4. Also spending some time with Morrowind, but hardly playing it, rather modding the everloving crap outta it.
No more WoW references. WoW is evil.

I've actually played games this month (unlike the last two months, in which I played practically nothing - and that was kinda nice, actually). I had a bout of Dwarf Fortress, and I played a fun game of DefCon with a friend here the other day. I crushed him and the newbie that joined us.

Dont let friends play on your online account. I've dodged a few murder charges but it can get pretty ugly.

Also i understand why you said "hah!" or something to that nature in the WoW thread. loving WAR? :D

Megaman 9.

You CAN'T SLIDE?! What is this madness?!

Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Pretty...boring. Run, kill, run, kill, run, kill boss. SOME variety in gameplay would be nice.

AOE III: Exactly the same as AOEII, with better graphics. Not that that's a terrible thing...

Waiting on Fable II, will go back and finish Fable: TLC in preparation like comrade Aeon.
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

Mount&Blade (Finally gave up trying to fish around for my old activation code and bought the game again. Holy hell has it improved.)
Dwarf Fortress
Myst II: Riven
Deus Ex
Penumbra: Overture

I also recently bought Team Fortress 2, though I'm kind of low on people to play it with. And I'm thinking about starting to play Audiosurf again.

Civ 4: Colonization
- mad props for keeping under the radar and putting time and care into a remake of a great game. it really is a different game from civ 4 and i appreciate that it wasn't just a hack job.

The Political Machine 2008
- I'm usually a fan of stardock-related things and this is no exception. a lot of fun, though kinda disappointing when i realized how much easier it is to win as a republican... most of the redneck states are so deep in your pockets already that you can just focus on the few swing states you need to pull the big 270.
