I must be totally uncultured, but I just don't understand haiku.

In my view you can't express anything properly in 17 syllables.

With that one:
He's not dead
Even though he has travelled (somewhere)
Winter (which represents end of year and often death... which totally contradicts the way he just claim he is not dead)

Or is this supposed to be irony?

The idea of a haiku is you use other things to represent things. Like you put there, winter represents death. The limitation is that you can't explain why you use things to represent other things, so you hafta choose what you use to represent things carefully.

Hahahaha you're quite funny too. The thing is that I'm one of those who pretend to be mature so the girl I'm with always can look upon me with "dad-my-hero" in her eyes when she looks at me. I always protect her from the evil in this world at the same time I get her to do all things in my way as a tiny reward (you know what I mean   heheehe). It's equal and very selfevident don't ya think? I think I'm very masculine and therefore very hot and a sought-after.
