Need for Steve
« on: June 10, 2008, 06:23:43 pm »
I think this may be my favorite Machinae Supremacy song of all time. The lyrics describe my philosophy on how life should be lived, so I connect strongly with it. The music is really high energy. The SID part is unstoppable. The song just gets me pumped up and inspired to live each day to its fullest.

Quote
Conformity is tainted
by the mark of mediocrity
I never want to be a statistic
Another life unmade and put into the ground

In living a "safe" life fearing social rejection, you will live and die without ever having realized your potential to be exceptional.

Quote
I will live forever,
I refuse to fade away into the never
I won't wait for heaven,
I will leave my mark right here on earth instead

Do what you love, and create a legacy that lives on beyond your death. You yourself are mortal, but what you create is eternal.

Quote
Don't bother with the jilted
I cast my ripples in eternity
Prepare to count me more than once,
as I echo on in future minds

There will always be negative people; ignore them. In pursuing your dream, your work will inspire others to do the same, which is a reward far greater than anything you can attain leading a "normal" life.

Find your passion and pursue it. Step outside your comfort zone if necessary. Be larger than life. Become a legend.

My passion is filmmaking. What's yours?

Drawing. Speaking through pictures, not necessarily motion ones, has a certain charm to it.
Nice interpretation there, mate. Too bad for me that I have no courage nor strong will to change my mindset. I'm just scared of people and being independent, individual person that I am. Instead, I prefer to just fall in line and pretend I accept things as they are. This has something to do with childishness and laziness too, I'm sure. I am negative and to be ignored; I am the Mark of Mediocrity, Super Steve's mortal enemy. And I'm unhappy since I keep living that way, but to change takes more than to remain... I have the need for Steve!

I must say, I kinda like the concept of Mark being Steve's arch-rival :P
No more WoW references. WoW is evil.

I think this might belong in General, so i moved it there, speaking about your life passions doesn't truly revolve around band discussion criteria but i like what you have going here, so enjoy it there (well, HERE now)
