I think Age of Conan does that, not sure though.

You are correct in your assumption. Have a piece of imaginary money.

It doesn't seem like a very far cry to say that the demo showed very normal MMO fighting. :P Considering that all the player did was run up and start slashing, with no kind of parry or dodge, or any kind of "realistic" fighting.

so why bring the game as a whole down just because you dislike the fighting? that's like saying "i hate cheddar cheese, but then i hate all kinds of cheese anyway".
if you want combo stuff and unnecessary complexions in fighting, try age of conan.

Well, I plan on it eventually (I didn't know AoC had a way to break combos), but if one of the primary components of a game is uninteresting or unoriginal (i.e., fighting in an MMO), then I won't be singing its praises. :P Same with any other genre.

I never said the whole game was terrible, but right now the only apparent thing setting this apart from other MMOs is that flight thing and the art direction.
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

So, not just to increase my post count, but general interest in this game, amongst other MMOs.. korean jobby, reckon it'll be the same samey content problem that so many found with Guild Wars?

I hope not, they say it'll be like nothing before..

But that's what they all say. Damn rotten good for nothing brilliant game designers.

Beforehand sorry that I´m posting in such old threads, but I think this lyrics fit perfect:

Another day, another trial
another month of this endless denial
cause now I sense

I wanna be unbound by science
one world, under me
somewhere undirected and free
one place, unseen
uncorrupted creativity

I wanna feel like that again
I wanna be a hero all over again
You're on my side or in my way
I'll blast you all to kingdom come

Here are some videos about the game http://eu.aiononline.com/de/movies

I pre ordered the Aion Collector´s Edition and bought a Beta key code.
The game is coming out in europe on 22 September, without a preorder on 25. September.
Till the release there will be every second weekend a closed beta and you can continue with your characters from the beta (I´m not sure about it, but I think so). You can buy a key code for the betas for 5 € on many sites.
When you preorder the whole game you get the beta key code for free, but I choosed cash on delivery for my CE so I had to buy an extra code (my fault).

This weekend is a beta again so buy a key code if you want  :P
