Yes, good catch there. Ryo Kunihiko is the composer for the music in Aion, i highly suggest you check out his work, i must say he's quite a stunning composer.

I want this game, even though it's probably pay to play. But yeah, no computer that's capable of playing it and no way of financial help (I don't know how to get a debit card, or if I would be allowed to. >_>), it'll have to wait.

And also, will this game have one big realm, or several different realms for each continent or something. <_<

Like most successful MMOs, it should hopefully start small and build big depending on the demand, so yeshhh.

The big concern for me is it too much for my computer as well. Looking at the current minimum specs I have twice the amount of RAM required, but half the GHz of processor. I'll be keeping an eye of the specs as it gets closer, but I do not like the prospect of upgrading for one game.

ignore the processor spec. its the gfx and RAM you need to worry about.

If you say so, I should be fine. I really really hope I am.

I'd wanna be an Asmodian btw.

This is the thing I've been hoping for. WoW got so boring so I decided to find a new game to play.
"Samaria will bear her guilt because she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to pieces,  and their pregnant women ripped open."

I'm starting to think i won't go to this game, since i see alot of annoying players from WoW (not at you dark, just people from my server i used to game on) are gonna leave for aion. and tbh, it's just gonna be the same bullshit, same raiding progress, and same time consuming ways.

Looks amazing, but on second thoughts i probably won't be getting it. For my own safety.

I have a AMD dual core 4600+ atm so i think i'll probably just update my processor before enjoying this game too much, but that won't be until september, damn the temptation to install it over summer will be overwhelming!

The one thing that always puts me of about MMOs are the landscapes. They have more in common with what you see in an RTS than anything else, all rolling terrain and blurred textures. They just seem a little...umm...sparse, and bland and repetetive. I guess that's what I get for usually playing FPSs - smaller levels mean that you can put a lot more detail and character into each of them.

This doesn't even really look that good.

Thats pretty detailed for me, and considering they are using the Far Cry engine to it's full extent you should really look more into the game detail before deciding that it doesn't really look that good. The fact is, really, in its area of sales, it's the best looking MMO to date, on par with conan, but i hate the oblivion engine, impressive yes, but it looks too real, i like the final fantasy esque korean mmo styling.

As i read you are really judging this from an FPS point of view, which isn't valid really if you get me. To create such a vast landscape in which thousands players can play on and see basically all of it, does require some tactic under which the graphic engine allows smooth play and a decent degree of quality, i imagine that if you look at more pictures of the landscapes of this game you'd be surprised,  the. Anyway Far Cry engine, FPS engine in an MMO, i don't see the downside here.

EDIT: you have to hand it to them, they've done better than any MMO to date.
