Good background noise for when you're doing other stuff, but nothing I could actively listen to. It's very much of the same over and over.
I generally like some NIN singles, but never enough to buy a whole album.

Yeah, as background music it's really great, but to actually listen to, intensively, it disappoints me. I find it overall boring, repetevily and not special. Actually, I think it isn't special at all.
Now, I DOOO think Reznor is a great man in the modern music, but this slightly disappoints me.

whereas i think its creative genius. i think alot of people were put off by the lack of vocals. but if you see the film festival he's set up, encouraging people to interpret the tracks for themselves and make videos and such, i think its a great idea.

waacha!
qft.

I just gave this a listen a few days ago and was heavily impressed!
I'm a fan of DJ artists such as Amon Tobin, Bonobo, St. Germain, Boards of Canada, etc etc, and this Ghosts stuff ranks up there with some of the better stuff the aforementioned artists have put out.
kudos Trent ;D

I got a hold of the whole ghosts now via NIN official and my fingers are actually itching to buy the 75$ Deluxe Edition. I'm really liking the whole thing :)

one complaint about the album so far.

each set of "ghosts" register as the same track on Last.FM

Last.FM has me scrobbled as having listened to the track Ghosts 1 67 times.

Very good instrumental songs, and psychedelic sometimes. Great music while laying in bed under the influence of something.
