OVERWORLD
Machinae Supremacy © 2008

We’ve died a million times
but we are not the walking dead
So fucking far from gone,
we jump around and bang our heads

We made our own way
and now we expect some wicked creds
But we will not behave,
we stomp the ground and scream instead

Show me, don't tell me
Walk through the fire

We live as we do to show the world what it could be
What's it mean to you?
Is this a vision you can see?
Heroes are those who don't just accept the way things are
Now, which one are you, the driver or the car?

seems like pretty straight-up "machinae supremacy, bitch, and also be independent like us" intro-track fare. just a head-banger to get the party started, not a philosophical discussion.

Excellent one at that, though.

Listen closer. It's there, all right. Though maybe it depends on the quality of the rip, what playback device you're using and any equalizer settings. I heard it just fine on my ipod, but had more trouble discerning it in Winamp. And the "don't" and "just" runs very close together in parts of the song
<@Torp> I have seen your melted pussy!

Plus, you wouldn't think Machinae would call conformists "heroes", would ya?

No.
The "don't" makes much more sense.

Aye, I just listened to it, and it's sounds
"Heroes are those who doe just accept the way things are"
but it definitely is "don't".

Anyway, another line:
"wicked creds"
It is "creds", but I like to sing "crits" :D

yeah, don't listen for a "don't" try a doh-n doh or duh sound. Its more like  "Whoooo-Doh-N-Just" its just a slight doh sound and N sound. Try it with some good headphones or something.

oh and yeah, fscking kick ass opener with all the rest Machinae had done.

i love the 'wheeh' of the guitar... "duh deh duh deh duh deh duh deh duh duh duh duh deh duh deh duh deh wheeh! duh deh whuh! duh deh deh..." or whatever etc etc hehe
While we wait for them to rise
In this world of sickened pleads
No matter where you run to...
The living dead will find you!

The "driver or the car" line makes me laugh. I understand the metaphor, but something about it seems... off. :P
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

the metaphor is that the car is a mindless machine controlled by the driver.

I'm guessing those aviators aren't also corrective? :P
