Age of Conan
« on: January 18, 2008, 03:24:17 pm »
So, I just saw the new age of conan website http://www.ageofconan.com/aoc/ and I realized that we dont have a topic about the game in this forum.

Age of Conan is a MMORPG that takes place in Hyboria, the great world made by Robert E Howard and the world of Conan(oh lawd, I bet you didnt realize it from the name of the game) the Barbarian. The "thing" with AoC is the whole new combat system, that isnt about pushing button 1 and then receiving bacon. The combat is about choosing the direction you are smashing, slashing, shooting or cating at. Some combos and things like that are available.

But anyways, I shall see what this is going to become. Gonna atleast try the game.

Any thoughts/people who already knew and would care to share their insight on the game?

I'm quite excited about this game, it's about the only game I feel could rip me away from my WoW addiction.

I've been looking forward to it. The whole settlement and raiding aspects sound awesome.
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

If anyone has a trial key to spare on release, I'm interested.

Me and Tomas are prolly going to play in the same guild. We'll post the server here and I'll try to get a hold of some trial keys (since I worked @ Game it shouldn't be a problem if the store get any trials).
It would be kewl if we masunites could invade a tavern and force-rename it to oki kumas tavern =)
