Dark Suns <3

Apart from that, I don't really know of that many CDs coming this year...
The Mars Volta, of course.
Then a new Bass Communion album from Steven Wilson. Maybe a Porcupine Tree live album.
Hopefully the new no-man album which would be my #1 most-expected album if it really comes out this year...

I listened to more of that Ayreon album. It's kind of hit or miss. Some of the tracks aren't really worth listening to but some are awesome. Age of Shadows is one of my favorites.

Oh yeah, I ordered the INJA album, but they were out of stock. Never know when I'll get my copy. Poo.

I just saw Sabaton are going to release a new album this year, called The Art of War. Good news indeed. It jumps right up to my second most anticipated album this year after Overworld.

In my opinion, most of the Ayreon albums were kinda hit or miss. Most of them have a pair of boring interludes, and sometimes boring interludes extended to 5+ minutes, but also their share of epic masterpieces aswell.

The Universal Migrator 1&2 are exceptions though. They're both brilliant from the beginning to the end. Part 1 has this awesome space atmosphere, and Part 2 is full of inspired melodies and has great vocalists.

Alright thanks for the suggestion I'll probably check those out sometime tomorrow. :)

First - Overworld, of course.
Also awaiting for three German bands' albums: In Extremo (may 2008), Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (summer 2008) and Rammstein (probably, autumn 2008).

Present stuff:
Machinae Supremacy - Overworld (2008-02-13) - teh masterpiece. surely will be one of the best albums of 2008  ;)
Ayreon - 01011001 - Rock/Metal Opera.. i havent heard any previous Ayreon albums... kinda different from any other stuff, but there is a lot of great stuff on this album
Crown_Of_Glory-A_New_Breath_Of_Life-Promo-2008-QTXMp3 - very unknown band, Neoclassical/Progressive Power/Heavy Metal, compared to the unknownness it sounds very good
Leverage Blind Fire 2008 - Melodic Heavy Metal, quite good album
Avantasia - The Scarecrow (2008-01-25) - a bit different from the previous Avantasia albums, nice one, though i think the original Metal Opera parts are the best

Loofing forward to:
Ultimatium - Hwainoo (2008-01) - Melodic Power Metal, samples at www.ultimatium.com, one of the most awaited albums by me
Stratovarius - N/A
Cloudscape - Global Drama (2008-02) Melodic Progressive Metal
Metalium - Incubus - Chapter VII (2008-02)
Steel Attack - N/A
Royal Hunt - Collision Course - Paradox II (2008-03-14)
Timeless Miracle - N/A - looking forward to this almost as much as i looked forward to OverWorld.. check out the samples at www.timeless-miracle.com

Ashes Divide - Project of Billy Howerdel, singer and songwriter for A Perfect Circle. He played every instrument on the CD but the drums, which were done by Josh Freese. :D Looks to be pretty cool.
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

Blaze Bayley is releasing a new studio album in May. I don't care what anyone else says, he's one of the best vocalists ever.

Yeah, Blaze is great. The stuff he did in Maiden was top notch, the only problem was that he couldn't do the Dickinson classics very well (if at all) live.
