Nerdcore?
« on: December 19, 2007, 03:03:59 am »
I'm looking for some good nerdcore to download if anyone can help me. I love MC Frontalot and MC Chris and I'm trying to find more but I don't want to have to go download everything and decide if it's good or not so I figured someone here's gotta know some good artists. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Optimus Rhyme is pretty good too. I'm gonna keep looking for other artists. :D

well

Speaking of optimus rhyme, an mc of that name (except it's "optimus rime") co-fronts the "financial hip-hop" band Bad Credit who can be viewed in all their white-boy glory here.

as someone who more closely resembles nerdcore, MC Lars (an acquaintance, in fact!) is quite enjoyable, as seen here and here. he's more of a lit major than a geek, but it works out.

While you're at it, look for gaycore with a twist of cancercore too.

It's better than Killswitch Engage.

That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

my only experience with nerdcore came in the form of MC Router. I never want to experience it again.

I haven't heard him yet but I'll check him out and let you know what I think. I suggest listening to Frontalot since he coined the term and is one of the first nerdcore rappers. He's got some pretty good stuff.
