Is Masugn absolutely, definitely, completely, totally, eternally, dead? It would seem so, but deep inside I hope not... It's just so awesome and unlike anything I have ever heard.

YESSSSSSSS, INTERBAND REFERENCING.
will future gigs see more overworld songs played? or will we still get a nice mix of the older stuff as well?

At the gig in luleå they only played 4 old songs (ttlg, oki kuma, reaper, hero) and almost every overworld song. So i guess they'll play mostly overworld from now on, but i hope they will have some gigs where they only play old songs, cause frankly, i'm getting a little tired of the new songs x]

Maybe now is a good time to remember that the last gig in luleå was the Overworld release-gig. Maybe.
Oi, is this when I get a huge sig-image, start whining about "moar sid" and make nonsensical arguments to no good?

Again, the same argument can be used. Machinae just released a new album, they're obviously going to play mostly music from that album for the next couple of months.

For once, I get to know things!

Robert has responded to the general request for Masugn lyrics many many times with a sound "NO.". The only Masugn track that ever had any lyrics released was Hostiles. IIRC, the reasoning on refusing to release any others was general embarrasment over the songs and lyrics as well, among other reasons. It was a side project, as much a "screw around and have fun" as FLAK.

Oh. BLAST.

And, I'd like to hear some older songs live aswell.
I mean, just because some of us still werent old enough to go to the older shows.

I think a few users have guesses as to the lyrics with some degree of accuracy. Whether you could pry those from them or not is not my concern, unless you succeed, in which case I want them as well = P.

There were also some live recordings and (low quality) videos circulating at one time, but I forget the site I got them from (hosted by a forum member, I don't even know if it still exists), so I can't help you there.
Your approval fills me with shame.

So, we all know that MaSu really grew popular through site releases before the albums. Right? Right.

Well, considering the whole Spinefarm thing, are there gonna be any more site-only releases? Just wondering, out of curiousity. o.o
..why are you reading this? Don't you have something constructive to do, like read a book, or punch a baby, or something? Really. This is getting annoying. Quit looking at me like that. That's getting on my nerves. Seriously. Leave. LEAVE OR I WILL SMACK YOU WITH A FROZEN TUNA. Really, I will. c.c;;

Well, I doubt the contract the band has states that they're not allowed to release songs on the net, but I suspect they'll mostly work on new songs to be included on albums. However, it is not uncommon that some songs are left out of an album simply because they do not fit the theme of that album, so we might get to see some of those again.

Or maybe another song spurred on by world events, such as Legion of Stoopid was.

DISCLAIMER: Despite my status as your Moderator-Overlord, I am not privy to any special information on this subject. The above is the most I would expect the band to do (e.g. I don't think they'll make a random song just to post it on the net).

Well maybe not to JUST post on the net...maybe they just got inspired by something and made something from the spur of the moment and then it be released on the site? Randomness can be a great tool to all creative arts.

indeed, and what a great way to keep new people interested until an album comes out.

I remember how exciting my days were when a new Machinae song would randomly pop up on the site.
