You use your phone all the time!

Comon, I only text 5-10 times a day and I don't text anyone else :(

Is there a budding forum romance going on here?  ;D

I think it's a little more than budding. <<; Silly Torp.

I sit right next to the I.T. guy at work and he hates me because I got MSN to work on the computers so he's completely removed them and removed my permission to download anything except data on websites... or something, I wasn't listening.

we have that at college.
so i just found a version of portable msn that runs on a usb drive.
SORTED.

i would but my PC's in pretty clear view, wouldn't wanna risk it :P
But if one day we meet together while I'm drunk, I promise you to draw a big group sex picture including a lot of forumites. :D

That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

Keep it nice. Ontopic now!

Considering there live a lot of people in Briton, its natural to assume that the number is only normal.

If you'd calculate the amount of actual phone users and devide the smses through hour's time, im sure you'd get a pretty reasonable number.

No it isn't! I actually like txting quite alot. Not as personal as a phone call. Easy to do, at your own pace.. when you're eating a sandwich or drinking some coffee. Gives you a reason to fiddle around with your phone when you're bored.
And with girls its easy to meet (date) without actually having to talk to her. ^^

Eh, anything that needs to be said in a text can be said later in the day during a phone call.

He could've meant the "British person" in general... but is it important? ::)

It could be "Britons and texting" (that's probably where this subject originated from, deduced by the exact quote from the article).
I hate to be the grammar nazi here, but it's bothering me how the name of my country could be spelt wrongly by a fellow Briton.

And no, it isn't important, but it still irritates me. :P

And OT: I think 5-10 texts a day like Ant mentioned earlier is quite a lot..

If you do the maths, 10 texts a day is ~300 texts a month, if you multiply that by 61,000,000 (roughly the UK's total population (source)), you end up with 18,300,000,000, that's 18.3 billion texts per month if everyone sent 10 texts a day, compared to 4.8 billion - meaning that Ant's daily texting habits are wayy above average. (381% above average to be kinda precise).

My maths is a pile of shite and dont quote me on this but I average the entire population of the UK would have to text roughly just 2-3 times a day to reach that 4.8billion per month figure.

Although, looking back - obviously not everyone has phones and not everyone texts. Probably under 50%, but that'd still mean that the 50% with phones would have to text like 6-7 times a day.

I don't know where I'm going with this. I got bored.
