Gaming Monthly - November
« on: November 01, 2007, 11:40:59 pm »
new month, old games!

still playing loads of VC titles including:

Sin and Punishment
Kid Icarus
Zelda: Link to the Past

started playing Pokemon Diamond again (figure I should finish it)

recently picked up Megaman ZX Advent.

great great great game.
the only annoying thing about the first one was the free-roam... it took forever to find certain areas, but in this one they fixed it.
There is still free roam, but with LOADS more trans-server (teleport) points.

woo!

Bwahaha, i've completed Pokémon Pearl. My friend plays WiFi on it, but i'm not THAT sad. And also, Megaman X-X3 ftw. Not the new crap they spew out nowadays.

Mount&Blade pretty obsessively, lately. Might squeeze in some BG2:ToB later too.

x-x3 are, indeed, incredible

HOWEVER
I absolutely love Megaman Zero 1-4.
the first is below X quality... but 2 3 and 4 are absolutely FANTASTIC.
True to the series and excellent sword/gun battle system.

and ZX and ZX-A are both fantastic in their own ways, if not quite as good as Zero series.

Halo 3, Halo 3 and then some more Halo 3.

EDIT: Not forgetting Halo 3, too.

WoW as usual, but I'll probably play a fair amount of Resistance and try out what old games look good upscaled to HD on my newly aquired PS3.

I played Pokémon Diamond yesterday, to evolve the Charmander, which my awesome friend with a gameshark got me, into a shiny Charizard!

I'm also playing Phantom Hourglass, and hopefully I'll be playing some Twilight Princess and possibly even start Baten Kaitos (dunno which one).

I think I'll be wanting Metroid Prime 3 for christmas.

Kingdom hearts II is what i expected, and its nice to return to playing the game after completing the original so long ago. Just completed the Mulan world, still confused about the story..
FFXII..well..its alright. I'm not too impressed with the whole "OMG BATTELS ON TEH MAP NAO!" concept they've slammed in. Seems a little..cheap. But I'll probably get used to it.

The story reveals itself soon enough and it all becomes clear. I remember watching cutscenes for like three hours before actually getting to play though. :P And I've been playing Paper Mario for N64 lately. Too bad it runs a bit glitchy on the emulator.

yeah. the beginning cutscenes are so long and they werent really that relevant! most the time when you GOT to play, all you got to do was run through a doorway before another 5948954 hours of movies.
