Help w/ chords..
« on: November 01, 2007, 04:53:38 pm »
So, I'm kind of self taught in everything I do, for better or worse (my punk attitude keeps me convinced it's all for the better though..
I've made a song which goes over a few chords that I'm probably presenting to my band tonight, butr I don't know thier names.
I've always showed them what I've made using my hands, like "Nono, that finger goes there and this coveres those two strings.. no, one fret up.. I mean down.. I meant the other finger..." and it's getting a little dull..

Chords are:

In standard E-tuning (Don't know what the fifth string is called, lol)
E: 0     X      X
A: 2     3      0
D: 2     2      2
G: 0     0      2
?: 3     1      1
E: 3     0      0
If that made any sense :P
I'm not that good at tabs either.
The first one is obviously E-something, the second one I know is real, because I use it when playing "Passenger" by Iggy Pop, the third one is A-something...
Thanks.

Edit: Changed the last chord..

The question mark is a B, and the first chord is an E major variation.. third chord is an A minor.

So it's Em7, something, and then A minor?

Cheers!
We went for an old song that we'd "abandoned" instead of focusing on new material, but I start playing guitar in a brand new band on Sunday, so the chords might come to good use.
Now, of course, I don't need their names :P
Never mind, I'm just a tad wiser now!
