Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
« on: October 19, 2007, 04:11:27 am »
I have been playing the demo alot lately, over and over, and im lucky enough to be able to run it on max settings and 1280x1024.

The demo itself is pretty crazy, the movements, the animations, the AI, everything just makes this one stand out from all other FPS games i have played so far. If you are a CoD fan, or just a FPS fanm you should really check it out.

I got a beta token for the 360 version, but never got to redeem it because my school won't allow Live.  :-\ I can't wait to pick this up, though.
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

i'm definitely enjoying the demo as well; seems they haven't made any tweaks to the "hey there's an enemy behind that low wall" system since CoD2, but it's definitely refreshing to use an ak-47 instead of an MP40 (fond of the ww2 armaments though i am)

Ya but now, you can be all like "there is an enemy behind that low wall...but now i can shoot THROUGH that low wall!"

i actually didn't catch onto it at first, but one of the enemies ducked on a balcony, and i shot through it and took him out.

I had the beta and loved it. This is most certainly a buy. Getting it for 360 on the release day.

It was an OK shooter. Really focused on the chaotic battlefield. Probably not a game I'm buying but it held its pace a while.

Just finished it up tonight, and i have to say, it is my favorite of all the CoD series, it has alot of movie like qualities and alot of "o shit" moments.

I recommend it :D

Same as Half-Life 2: episode two imo, nothing really new, short, but really high quality and entertaining stuff. The loading screens stood up and impressed atleast me, never seen nothing like that and they really pumped up the atmosphere. Multiplayer is really a blast also. :)

There's currently a bit of a student uprising here because several people want Xbox Live, but can't have it (or any other online gaming).

I WANNA TRY THIS GAME

One of my favpourite games for the 360 ever. Excellence all around. The SP was short but ph-so-sweet (LOVEd the graphics in that short part *SPOILZ*after the nuke had blown up. The graphics in that part was simply astounding.. The multiplayer was even better though, even though they had nefred the M4 since the beta. the M16 makes up for it in the beggining, and once you get your hands on teh G36C and M14, you're pretty much unstoppable. The ranking system far exceeds the ones in Halo 3 and Rainbow 6: Vegas.
It even manages to give Halo 3 MP a run for it's money, and even though the matchmaking and party systems isn't quite as good as H3's are, the gameplay makes up for it big time, it's TONS of fun. Really fast paced combat in a whole lot of good levels (somthing H3 lacked..).

I Recommend this even if yuo don'y have XBL, since the SP simply must be played.

Amazing stuff all around. as expected. Best CoD ever, best modern combat game ever (beats BF2, R6Vegas and pretty much alll other similar games I've played. A must have.

It's strictly against the rules at my uni... i managed to get it working by sharing my laptop's internet connection, but like i said... only got strict nat which means some games work some dont.
