Pagan's Mind

I think there's a few fans of them on here. Just thought you might be interested, new album appears to have leaked... I haven't heard it yet, but it's called Gods Equation, and has a rather saucy cover.

I already posted that in the what are you listening thread a week ago i think, however!

Pagan's mind is fucking awesome imo. Im a huge fan, mainly started listening for the sick guitarwork preformed by Jorn Viggo Hofstad.

Band's page is www.pagansmind.com, they're obsessed with Stargate, and most of their songs are about godlike intervention, with songnames like : Celestial Entrance, Dimensions Of Fire and Prophecy of Pleiades..

Nontheless, they do rock a whole fucking lot and you should definately check them out on youtube.

"Enigmatic Mission" - A sweet rocking track with an awesome solo.
"Through Osiris Eyes" - A melodic metal track with synth!
And from the new album, God's Equation - http://youtube.com/watch?v=DgMAxb7Z0L4

I'm offended it wasn't called into govern this topic. NEVERTHELESS! I'm not, really.

But yes finally back in belfast and now that i HAVE internet with no blocked sites i was able to find out about the new album. Looking fine, i may order it soon. Or just download it as i am kinda skint at the minute. I'll buy it later at some point.

Pagan's eh? Who woulda thought, me. That's who.

I've been keeping track of them for a while, I found out about em when I was listening to the MaSu station on Pandora Radio. XD

Nope, they are touring at the moment and don't have time to be in a studio.

I haven't really been listening to them for the last few months, all their discography is embedding in the back of my head so i just say "play (aegean shores)" and it happens.

I've only heard Celestial Entrance, but it's goddamn awesome and they are not a Dream Theater clone (what a preposterous idea...)

They most certainly are not, i hate that any decent progressive work is related right back to Dream Theatre, yes they pioneered a more modern sound of it, but it's been going for much longer than them. The production values just have improved since then.

Mmyes, everything is always compared to Dream Theater, and Symphony X, let's not forget Symphony X. But I hear far more originality in prog metal than say, OSDM.
