They are, i didn't hear it at first but if you listen really closely you can hear some badly played guitarwork.

Oh god, my ears are bleeding right now. OH, THE AGONY!
That was a terrible cover, man... those dudes never should have even attempted it. Not only was the singer terrible, but the guitars were silent and the drums reminded me of St. Anger. And that's not a good thing, either. DX

It's everyone's right to cover/rape a song.
If it was forgiven, I wonder how many bands there would be.
Everyone has to start with raping songs, whichever they are.

(even if I found this "cover" awful, but hey, for the defense, the sound doesn't help at all)

Here's my attempt to rape a song!

I'm working on an acoustic cover for Through The Looking Glass (keyboards and singing)
I already recorded something to give you an 'idea'.
The melody of the lyrics is pretty different from the orginal, but I think that's allowed in a cover.  :P
Also I warn you I'm not that good with keyboards yet  :-[ but hey, it's just for fun ;)
And finally, sorry for the text in the middle but I didn't have a good program, so I used a trial version of something.

So here I go, 'enjoy' (if that's the right word here  ::))
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=CdvYKFvOSJw

The complete version will be much better recorded and longer though.

EDIT: It's a better version now without the text, and a bit louder (but there is some noise :(), as the previous one was very silent. Hope it isn't too loud now  ::).

Sweet acoustic but the vocals could use a bit of work.

That's not irish folk. Fool. But it was a nice acoustic cover, don't try to sing like the person you're covering, however. Just sing how you sing any other song. And by the look on your face there is no way you sing like that for every song :) I aint poking at you, cuz i enjoyed it, so take it on board. I bid you welcome to the music board, bring more covers! or some originals!

Yeah, indeed, I'm trying to sing like Robert too much.  :P That's a bad characteristic of mine, I always try to imitate the singers.  :-[
But thanks anyway, I'll post some more when I got something! ;) (and I'll try to use my own voice next time )
