Let me bring this thread back to life!
I just went to see DETHKLOK LIVE! Yes, they're on tour on campuses in the US. It was sponsored by Cartoon Network.
Did I mention it's free? ^_^
Dethklok was bad ass!! Buuuuuuuut the opening band ..... i'm not gonna say that they sucked, but I don't see Dethklok going on tour with this band. The band's name is And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. I'm sure some of you know that band.
Between the band performance there was a guitar hero 3 contest on stage between 2 contestants. The first guy looking like a computer geek went on first. He picked the "expert" level. I didn't blame him, he was on stage, of course he had a pressure to look bad ass. He picked the song "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath and he was finished in less than 10 seconds.
The second guy had long straight black hair, just straight metalhead. He chose "Raining Blood" by Slayer. At least he lasted like a minute or so, before he got slayed. Lol.
Anyway, the DETHKLOK was awesome!! Everything was animated on a huge screen on stage, and the creators played instrument live in front of the screen, but all lights were off, so you could barely see the live performers. The animation was combination of "live stage" style and video clips that you've never seen in the series before.
