i used to play minesweeper before i found out about the EVIL *insert manical laugh here* of microsoft...yet i still use win 98 and MSN messenger....don't ask

Minesweeper must be one of the better things MS have ever done..
..altho' it IS evil  :P

Minesweeper must be one of the better things MS have ever done..

I remember reading somewhere1 that Microsoft purchased Minesweeper from a college student... I tried Googling it without much success though, so who knows how true that story is.

Did you hear about how they tried to take a person to court becuase their site was something like www.mikeraresoft.com But instead they settled out of court for an Xbox, games and a tour of microsoft's HQ. I'll try to dig up the link

Yeah, that story I've heard alright. It's kinda like story about McDonalds and real McDonalds. There are atleast two restaurants owned by people named McDonalds. And they have owned these places much longer than McDonald even existed. Funny thing is that if I recall correctly, McDonald tried (or even did) sue them for using their name as restaurant name... It just seems that major corporations are going to bulldoze every individual that's happened to have same name and interest as they do... It's kinda sad.

I'm currently getting addicted to Icy Tower though...

icy tower and minesweeper r both gr8...i beat my girlfriend at minesweeper all the time over msn!
