Good looking and black preferred.. those two do not match.

But i'm willing to ignore that like nothing happened for this once and sum up some awesome guitars that might give you an idea or two.

Ibanez ! You can NOT think of buying a guitar, and not thinking of ibanez.

It has some great guitars in every price class..

The J&M (JEM) Is the vai signature guitar, you know, with the handle. AWww feck it, ill put a picture up.

http://www.guitarattic.com/Guitars/Ibanez%20Jem77BMR.jpg - Its too big for here.
(beware this one is a tad expensive.)

Well i don't really know what kind of music you play but these guitars are pretty allround.

Good luck :P

Rad, that first one is beautiful. Cant help but think it'd look better with white on black though, gold is such a cliche colour :P

And also, If I wanted a LP-style guitar, I'd have to get a Gibson. You cant beat the classics! I've wanted a Les Paul Gothic for ages now.

Jack Lupino:
I personally think Gibson is pretty shitty compared to other guitars, but you can be a sheep and follow the crowd if you want..

It's not following the crowds, I just think if I want to buy a guitar, I shouldnt buy a remake of it, but rather the original model from the original creators. :)

Gazus:
Choose a guitar which have EMG mics.
Perhaps the best for metal heavy sound (yes, metal heavy sound, not heavy metal sound).

Jack Lupino:
That ESP has EMG's in it, also i think the gold looks awesome :)
