For now, everyone could say which soft he uses to compose, so it'd be easier to create the teams.

Myself uses Open Modplug Tracker.

Cubasis VST 5.

Reason 3.0 (Got 40GB or so of samples and VSTs I got seperately)
Cakewalk (no idea on version)
Fruit Loops (again, no idea what version)
Acid Pro 6.0
Cubase SX
Then I have: Keyboard + Synthesiser
                  2 Electric Guitars
                  Drum Kit
Electric Bass (actually my best mate's but it's available any time)

Yes I love instuments and torrents ;D
But if one day we meet together while I'm drunk, I promise you to draw a big group sex picture including a lot of forumites. :D

I use Cubase, and I can record guitars (lead, rhythm, blah) and bass.
..why are you reading this? Don't you have something constructive to do, like read a book, or punch a baby, or something? Really. This is getting annoying. Quit looking at me like that. That's getting on my nerves. Seriously. Leave. LEAVE OR I WILL SMACK YOU WITH A FROZEN TUNA. Really, I will. c.c;;

I am a mainly guitarist, but I can play the bass and some keyboard too... And probably drums, when I get my drum microphones that I (soon) have ordered.

Edit: And some orcestral stuff maybe.

Been starting to practice composing for this little competition, Weird thing happen the other day. A jazz double bassist gave me, what looked like a blank CD, and when I took it home to see what it was, it had loads of his own double bass loops on it, so I thought I'd mess around with those.

Here's what I did: http://indexof.co.uk/LionNinja/Freaky%20Vs.%20Indy.mp3

Myself uses Open Modplug Tracker.

Cubasis VST 5.

Adobe Audition 2 for recording vocals
ACID Pro 6.0 for recording inputs from other apps, like:

Kontakt 2 sampler
Battery 2 drum sampler
Elektrik Piano... electric piano
FM7 synthesizer
Pro-53 synthesizer
Absynth 2 synthesizer
Vokator vocoder

plus i've got other stuff like Cakewalk Sonar 6 Producer Edition, B4, Nuendo 5, Reaktor 5, Intakt, Kompakt, though i've never used them.
And i can't play anything besides flute, so i'm this contest's retard :D But i've got like 20 GB of orchestral/electronic/acoustic/drum/bass/guitar/violin/whatever you can imagine samples.

I use a Line6 Guitarport and record it with Native Instruments' Guitar Rig.
I then put everything together in FL Studio 7
